“Beautiful park, although it is mostly a P-Patch. The gardeners have in my experience always been super friendly and talkative if you ask them about what I they're growing. There's a gazebo in the middle for picnicking. The gazebo has a plug for charging phones, although at the time of writing this (6/10/17), it is covered and locked. There are walking paths around the park so you can view the plants and flowers, which is super pleasant in the late spring and summer. The bathroom facilities have always been clean in my experience, although at least the men's bathroom does not have a closing/locking door for the sit-down toilet, so make sure you shout if you hear someone else approaching! Overall a great park for picnicking and walking around, although probably not one you'd return to frequently if you don't have a plot for gardening there.”

“This park is so beautiful, clean, and fantastic. The first part of the park is a beautiful coastal beach with an outstanding view of Bellevue. The second park combines trails and wooden roads for hikers, trailers, and bikers. I felt relaxed and calm when I first visited this park. It felt like I had left my busy life and all the hassle behind. There are many parking lots, so you need to worry about that. The only downside I see is that there is no restroom, so it may be easy for men to find a private space and pee, but how about women? Overall, I highly recommend this park to anyone to relax after a tired and stressful day”

“Every time I run or bike back to Seattle through the I-90 bridge, it's hard to resist the urge of taking a picture to appreciate how far I have come. The actual view point is up the hill on Lake Washington Blvd. It's wide open and there are signs to read from. The viewpoint in front of the tunnel is great too. Because of the trees, the view there isn't wide open, but you can definitely see the floating bridge, Mercer Island and Bellevue. There is a tunnel behind the view point and on the other side it's Seattle streets. These multi-use trails are awesome.”

“I can’t say enough about how awesome Jonathan is!!! My son has been taking lessons for several years now and it’s amazing the progress he has made under Jon’s teaching. My son absolutely adores him and they have made a wonderful connection that is sometimes hard to find in music teachers. I love how flexible Jonathan is and how willing he is to teach my son anything he wants to learn. From classical to MARIO theme songs, Jon can do it all and my son loves learning various songs and styles. I also love how Jonathan is able to teach a variety of instruments. My son is learning piano, drums and bass and I have even taken guitar from him. It seems that whatever instrument we want to learn he can teach Like I said, I can’t say enough good about Jonathan. He is an incredibly skilled musician, a patient teacher and I couldn’t imagine a better fit for my son! I hope he’s around a very long time because I have a younger son coming up that will be ready for lessons soon 😁”

“My husband and I have a point of staying away from hotels and stay at locally owned cabins and B&Bs. When we were invited to attend a wedding just outside of Seattle we decided to stay at Casa de Esperanza because it was locally owned, much more affordable than the block reserved for the wedding party, and public transportation was nearby. Upon arrival, we were welcomed by Barbara. We were exhausted after a day of traveling. She showed us our room, gave a small history of the home, and told us breakfast would be ready at the time we had discussed through e-mails beforehand. Breakfast each morning was different than the last, organic ingredients were used whenever possible, some ingredients were used from her garden or local vendor who she knew personally, the food was delicious and surprisingly very filling, and the last breakfast of our stay was the best (I won't tell you, but you won't be disappointed)! We stayed in the Orchid Room. It was decorated nicely and to the period of when the home was built. She was very aware of the needs of her guests and the bedroom/bathroom were set up for any guest wishing to stay. Barbara was a wonderful hostess and it was a highlight of our trip when we talked with her in the mornings about our mutual love of art and general conversation of this n' that. We look forward to staying with her again in the future and happily recommend anyone visiting the Seattle area to stay a few nights at this overall wonderful bed and breakfast.”

“Great little pizzeria. We came during happy hour and enjoyed the smaller pizza sizes which were perfect for our family of many tastes. Service was good and it's recommended to come enjoy a bite here. Parking on side streets is the only obstacle but you'll find something within walking distance.”

“Enjoyed two thoughtful meals - one from the take out menu last fall and tonight's anniversary celebration with a beautiful view of the sun setting over the Sound from their dining room. Really lovely composition of dishes and delicate touch with the ingredients. Experience not to.be missed and after tonight's meal we'll be sure to visit again much sooner!”

“I had an excellent latte at QED Coffee to kick off my day. Although the location isn't very convenient or central and the price is on the higher side; had I lived in this area, I can see myself come to QED coffee often. Service is friendly if not totally warm, coffee is on point, and they have a good selection of coffee. One more plus for me: they open at 6am (weekdays) / 7am (weekends).”

“Really impressive physical therapy clinic. I’ve been in PT a lot over the years and this one of my favorite. They use a really innovative Pilates based approach. Not the same old formula kind of place. Highly recommend.”

“Even with temporary access the park is a wonderful family place. We took a small beach tent, large blanket, artist chair with Sun shade for my wife, a pop-up T-Ball batting cage for us both, and a bean bag lawn dart kit. Complete social distancing. Restrooms within walking distance at the beach. Oh yes, and tennis courts. Wow. This park is a wonderful family place.”
