  Dr. Yorek is the best. He has been my otheodontist since I was in Jr. High. I am nearing 40. They fixed my retainer today. Like always the staff are super friendly and the place is always nice and clean.

  I was a patient with Dr. Yorek roughly three or four years ago. Before I began my orthodontic treatment, I suffered from debilitating migraines and jaw pain, and had much more difficulty breathing at night. For years my teeth had been moving so out of place that my top front teeth were beginning to twist around each other and I was only able to eat foods that could be eaten with a spoon, or solid foods that were cut into extremely small pieces. I couldn’t even bite a French fry in half.
  
  Over the course of treatment, I was gradually able to eat those things that had been impossible before, and didn’t have to spend five minutes chopping up my food. My teeth, which had always been something that brought down my confidence, became straight and I no longer had to put my hand over my mouth when I smiled so people couldn’t see them.
  
  Before, my mouth was always half-way open even though I wanted to close it, and I had to breathe through my mouth even during the day, which was also embarrassing. I had terrible breath because of this and because my teeth were so close together that I couldn’t clean them properly. I no longer have bad breath and I can breathe through my nose during the day. After less than a year the migraines were gone.
  
  If there are any pictures available, you can see how incredible the change in my teeth is. The results even before I had lower jaw surgery are so good it looks impossible—so much better than I even hoped for. It sounds silly, but having straight teeth has changed my life because of its positive impact on my self-esteem. I’m sure the people who are now in the position I was pre-treatment know exactly what effects having bad teeth can have on a person. If you need orthodontic treatment, I highly recommend choosing Dr. Yorek’s office.
  
  For those people Dr. Yorek recommends also get jaw surgery, I want to mention some things about my experience with lower jaw surgery. First off, the cost was either in the $10,000s or $11,000s (my insurance would not pay anything). Money well spent. I’m not gonna lie—it hurt. A lot. But if I could go back in time I’d still do it. My results were further-improved breathing, biting and chewing. I don’t snore as frequently or as loudly as I did before. My profile looks sooo much better; this was also something I was previously embarrassed about.

  We were a little worried because Dr Yorek is the only orthodontist on Vashon Island, but our experience was great. He’s friendly and takes extra time to make sure both the patient and the family understand the process. The staff is also great. Highly recommended!

  Loved how nice everyone was. I went to Dr. Yorek about 14 years ago when I needed braces and took my son to see him today. Same great service and information. Such an awesome office and orthodontist :)

  I've visited Dr. Yorek's office several times. My friends kids have all their orthodontic work done her and have been very happy with the experience. THEY HAVE AN OLD PLAYABLE NINTENTDO 64 RETAIL DISPLAY SETUP IN THEIR LOBBY!! Now that's a cool orthodontist.
