We accidentally found this wonderful store at Port Gamble. They have a LOT of very interesting stuff which we’ve never seen anywhere else. (Dare you to not buy anything here.) Very friendly staff. They also have coffee shop and light eats. Besides tables outside, a few tables in the balcony are romantic settings.
Lovely General Store with lots of fun items, wine and gifts. There is a cafe in back. I ordered the Mango Curry Chicken Salad Sandwich a slice of Whiskey Pecan Pie and A Carrot Cake. The sandwich and pecan pie was good but the Carrot Cake was phenomenal. With the coconut icing. Yummy. I also bought a pint of Sasquatch Sighting ice cream - peanut butter deliciousness. I would highly recommend a stop here. Very friendly staff.
Built in 1916 and currently houses the General Store & Café, Of Sea and Shore Shell Museum, the Port Gamble Historic Museum, and the delicious Kitchen. Open for over 100 years, and still the social hub of town.
First time stopping out of the many times I have passed through on adventures. Glad I stopped because I found lots of unique and fun items in the store for myself and clients. I also bought a couple drinks which were too sweet for my taste haha. I will make sure I stop next time to try the café. If you usually drive thru Port Gamble, you should stop next time and check out the history and this store/café.
Fun place to stop. We enjoyed their shop of various things, their cafe, and their upstairs museum. Even the building itself is well worth seeing. It's an amazing open design where the upper two stories consist of perimeter balconies along with a grand staircase to navigate the levels. The museum is packed with interesting marine specimens. We learned a lot during our stop. The people were all friendly and we would definitely stop again on another trip.
