“For our 34th wedding anniversary my husband and I stayed at Port Gamble Guest Houses (House 1). It was a beachfront home, well equipped and delightfully decorated. We found everything we needed in the house to make us feel welcome. We explored the town of Port Gamble and especially enjoyed the General Store, which was built in 1916. The Hood Canal Bridge is about five minutes from the guest houses and provides access to the Olympic Peninsula where you'll find hiking, fishing, boating, mountain climbing, the Hoh Rain Forest and, ultimately, the Pacific Ocean and the Salish Sea. The Olympic Mountains, strong and bold, can be seen from the bridge, inviting you to explore the area. Our trip refreshed us, filling us with clean air, beautiful pictures, and wonderful memories.”

“We accidentally found this wonderful store at Port Gamble. They have a LOT of very interesting stuff which we’ve never seen anywhere else. (Dare you to not buy anything here.) Very friendly staff. They also have coffee shop and light eats. Besides tables outside, a few tables in the balcony are romantic settings.”

“My husband and I started attending about two years ago. It is wonderful to continue to do so in person now that Covid restrictions are lifted. Great , biblical preaching and leadership, uplifting, worshipful music, and rich liturgy. A joyful congregation that we are growing to love in lovely Port Gamble.”

“Could not possibly be a better place to be married, hands down the finest venue on the Kitsap Peninsula.”

“Such an amazing experience. I’ve been looking at kayaks for over 2 year’s. I talked to Drew about 5 times & he was always really helpful & patient. He said I wasn’t a pain - but I know I was . Finally decided on a kayak for myself & my husband. We put down 20% to hold them until we could get to Port Gamble. When I went to pick them up- Drew not only put a rack on my car . He also took my ski rack off first & set up all of my racks with a master key. He went above & beyond & I will definitely be sending everyone I know to Olympic Outdoor. Super happy .”

“No better food in Kitsap. It used to be a gas station/garage in the day. Food is reliably unique, fresh and slightly more affordable than other places with this awesome of a menu. Speaking of menu, grab the paper one as you walk in the door. Then order at the register. On a sunny weekend morning this place can be slammed busy. They do move fast for the volume, I have stayed and ordered when I was 14 people back. It moved surprisingly fast and with great smiles/attitude from the staff. Menu changes every couple of months. The bathroom is outside and up one stair. They do not accept tips here ...truly Euro style. Little interesting gifts for sale.”

“Small shop with helpful staff, nice selection of fabric basics, some supplies, and a fairly large space with tables for what might be a classroom. Some COVID safety precautions were still in place and enforced. Apparently no A/C and, with restricted air flow, was unfortunately too uncomfortable to spend much time browsing. Will gladly return when in the area again.”

“A wonderful little shop! It’s had many unique and fun products and was very cozy! The worker there was increasingly kind and helpful and when I bought a special gift and the worker was kind while helping me check out. Great service and great gifts. A must stop if you pass through Port Gamble!”

“Wonderful selection of local and in-house hand dyed fiber and yarn. The owner is a great artist and makes some beautiful colorways. She also provides great customer service and makes everyone feel welcomed. A great place to hang out, browse some yarn and fiber, and to get puppy pets in.”

“The food here was really good, and the vibe was pretty nice too. We stopped in here after a long day out in Squim, on our way home. It was chill and casual, and made the evening pleasant to stop and enjoy some tasty food. I recommend this place, for sure.”
