My 11 year old daughter has been taking guitar lessons from Greg Shelley now for 2 years. She truly has come a long way in just a couple years. In that time, Greg has gone out of his way to make sure that our daughter is successful in playing both the electric and acoustic guitar. Greg has the patience of a saint, and you can tell he truly enjoys working with children and loves teaching guitar. My wife and I recommend him to everyone we know that is looking for guitar instruction.

I came to Greg a year and a half a ago barely able to strum a cord nor had I ever studied music. Today I am able to play numerous songs both with a flat pick and thumb pick. Learning the guitar is not easy, but Greg is patient and wants you to succeed. He will challenge you and reward you. Calling Greg when I did was one of the best decisions I have ever made and I will continue to see him on a weekly basis. Seeing the improvement in my skills has really been rewarding but remember, practice practice practice. Thank you Greg!

Greg Shelley is Simply The Best!

My wife bought our son (14 at the time) and I guitar lessons for Christmas from Private Guitar Enterprise (PGE). While she thought it would be a fun bonding opportunity for us, she didn’t really think it would last longer than a few months. Two and a half years later we continue to take weekly lessons from Greg. His professional experience and method of teaching have taken us from beginners to very confident musicians in a very short time. Greg doesn’t just teach you songs, he teaches you techniques with each song that build upon each other in a very effective way. It’s not magic, Greg just knows how to teach from beginners to professionals. I don’t see us every stopping our weekly lessons as the sky is the limit regarding our ability to continue learning and growing with Greg’s guidance.

Best gift I’ve ever received. My son would say the same.

    Thanks Greg!

I cannot even begin to express my gratitude toward Greg and all he has done for my sons. Greg is clearly knowledgeable and does an impeccable job teaching others how to play the guitar!

My oldest son is 9-years-old and autistic; he struggles with communication. Kj, my oldest, has bloomed since Greg started working with him. Not only has Greg helped Kj with playing the guitar, he has also help Kj to mainstream in general education (Kj since working with Greg, is in his grade level for music in school). I'm thrilled for my son and so thankful that Greg is a part of our journey. Greg has help Kj be able to express himself musically and it is so rewarding to watch Kj's progress! It's such a blessing to see Kj be proud of something and he is doing so well play the guitar thanks to Greg!

My youngest son, Jake, is 7-years-old and also doing an amazing job playing the guitar since working with Greg also! Greg is incredibly talented in getting through to each individual and helping each of my sons with their very unique ways of learning. I believe Greg can teach anyone how to play the guitar well.

Greg's studio is such a pleasant place to be, clean and calming. He provides a welcoming environment for his students to learn in.

Thank you Greg for sharing your talents!

So how do you put into words how someone has helped you toward fulfilling a dream? I’m not sure, but I’ll try… several years ago I decided for the umpteenth time to try and learn how to play the guitar… fortunately for me I found Private Guitar Enterprise and Greg Shelley… at the very first lesson he had me strumming away at a Beatles tune… sweet… since then he has helped me expand my knowledge and understanding of the guitar with clear, concise lesson plans suited to my abilities… never rushing me to get onto the next thing and eternally patient when I just didn’t get it… over the years I’ve only met a very few people that I would call a true ‘teacher’, Greg is one of these and I would recommend him in a heartbeat to anyone interested in learning how to play guitar… thanks, Greg!
