Above the Sound Bed & Breakfast

I discovered this B&B when I brought my youngest out to see Washington after their high school graduation in 2015. I returned for a visit again with another family member in 2018. Both times, Bill was a such gracious host to us...actually, gracious is an understatement! I feel like I am staying with family when I've stayed there. The upstairs room is so peaceful. I sleep so well there! And I still dream about the sunporch breakfasts we had before going on our daily adventures. It's a lovely experience that I will always treasure and hope to be able to do again in the future. I hear the Sound calling me as I write this! So grateful to these wonderful folks for opening up their home as a B&B!

Absolutely amazing! Delicious breakfast, clean and cozy room. My husband and I really enjoyed our stay.

We stayed in the larger 2 bedroom suite with our kids. The owners are very sweet and made us feel welcome. Their home is absolutely gorgeous! Our suite had a rustic charm with antiques throughout. The livingroom is huge and the two rooms were generous. Our kids enjoyed walking through the garden and were sad to leave their koy pond. We will definatly be back!

A great B&B. They make you feel like part of the family. Beautiful yard. Great location. I feel comfortable recommending this place. Perfect if you want to spend the day on Anderson Island, then pop back to the mainland, hit a pub or two. The owners are awesome people. The room was great, and having a bite in the sun room, watching the day begin. Great way to start the day. The price is right.

What a wonderful place to stay. The B & B is basically a small apartment downstairs available with a living room, two bedrooms - one, a Master with a kingsize bed and one with two twins. The garden is just lovely, creative and whimsical. A great place to sit with morning coffee. The shower was easy to use - the towels thick.
Hospitality? For Bill, it is an art form. Gracious, concerned about comfort and enjoyment. Unobtrusive. The breakfasts were delicious, fresh, healthful and substantial. Above the Sound was a pleasure and totally, completely recommend it. No reservations whatsoever.
