Had a great time for only staying one night, a little expensive for what we got but worth getting away. A bit cold to enjoy the outdoors, since it was on the water isn't that part of it. The photo on the website for the room we got was a little deceiving. The breakfast in the morning that we had was good. If we do go back it will be closer to summer and one of the other rooms less expensive.
We have really good experiences when stay there between the way to Crystal Mountain but hit by winter storm and hard to drive home so we decide to find room and stay one night. Breakfast is excellent ( sausage , potatoes , egg cheese scrambled , yogurt , waffle etc. ). Room is clean and modern style and staffs are so kind and nice. This place turn our hard time to wonderful trip.
We had a lovely stay at the Silver Cloud. Everyone was so nice and we were well taken care of. The beds are absolutely divine and the view from room 333 (superior view king) is amazing. It was too cloudy to see Rainier over our 3 night stay, but the view of the bay is beautiful. The big TV and the LED fireplace were well utilized and appreciated. They have an umbrella in the closet for you as well as an extra pillow and blanket...both were helpful. We were given cookies at check in and the breakfast was good. We really appreciated the complimentary laundry service. All in all we were very pleased.
A note on the train: We sleep with fans so it wasn't a problem, but they have free earplugs at the desk if you need them. It's not the train that makes noise, it's a warning horn on top of a downtown building because it's near an intersection. It didn't bother us, but take note of that.
