Had a blast on a little hike with my sister and her fiance on a Saturday. Not crowded, easy but beautiful hike, although parts of the trail were quite muddy still :) but passable.
First time there to hike in well over a decade. I just adopted the new friend in the images. My advice for this park is bring water, rubber boots and munchies. Except for the more hardy one of you, this is a 3.5 out of 5 hike. It can get intense in places. There's signs around to read that can provide a needed break. Be sure to drink as well as breathe at those signs.
It can be really muddy up there. Tennis shoes are NOT recommended. Water proof hiking or rubber boots are the best options.
The paths are narrow in places so clean up after your pet because there's not much room as it is.
The beach is awesome! Low or high tide, each has its own draw. Sitting there watching the sail boats, the birds and the people enjoying themselves just makes our day!
Awesome park with trails that went through the woods and down by the beach. Great place to go explore nature and unwind. You do have to pay to park or have a discover pass.
I've gone to this park since I was a little girl, and every time I go it gets a little more beautiful. Clean bathrooms, easy parking (don't forget your discovery pass! If you do you can buy a day pass at a small machine in the parking lot, $10 for the day.) Short and quaint trails that lead you back down to the beach. Picnic tables for family get togethers. Overall a wonderful park :)
