“Since I am not in the area most days due to work, I have missed the opportunity to eat locally. But due to a day off, my wife and I had lunch at the Anvil Restaurant. When we looked at the menu it had several things that were appealing. But when the waitress told us about the smoked pork barbecue (the smoker was out front), we tried it. Really good. Intimate and local, not a chain restaurant. I recommend that you try it out. If you want DC sophisticated restaurant, then this is not your place. But since that is not what I want, I think it is great.”
