“This amazingly breathtaking park features a Small Meandering Brook with countless waterfalls, and stunning views of the Chapel View Neighborhood. There is even a small island in the middle of this shallow brook, where you can sit or stand and enjoy the ambient views of the Neighborhood and Sunset. This park is great for kids that like to explore new places, and have fun. You can take your dog on a walk here, and you can even bring your Entire Family! I suggest going to this park if you’re someone who likes to have fun and explore.”

“Enjoy the peaceful ambience of this small, but breathtaking park! There is a sitting platform at the edge of the creek to stand on, sit on, or even meditate on! There is also an awsome fallen tree bridge to get to the other side of the creek if you are interested! There is even an exclusive tree carving of a bear on the far side of the creek when you go near the tunnels!”

“This place is such a hidden paradise! They have lots of events and kids camps and have plenty to do with the family and little ones. I went with my father, sister and my nieces that are 1 and almost 4 years old. We all had a great time and my oldest niece had a great time learning all about birds and nature. We also went on an “Owl Prowl” last fall that was great fun, too. Definitely worth checking out!”

“The park at Fairfax Crossing is basic. Two separate playgrounds within 25 feet of each other are free for use. The playgrounds are largely tailored to younger children, around age 5-9. There's nothing too exciting here--the equipment is typical but will keep kids entertained for some time while allowing them a place to have fun close to home.”

“Definitely worth the hike. It's can be tough, it's up and down the whole way, and very technical/rocky. It's about a 5 mile hike round trip, and can take anywhere from 1.5 to 2.5 hours depending on how fast you hike and how long it takes you to get to the top. The payoff is worth it. Highly recommend staying for the sunset.”

“Mainly a very large WV State owned piece of mountainous property. No real trails that i am aware of, but plenty of room to walk or hike. People DO hunt here whether legally or illegally so don't put on a deer costume. Woods are beautiful in fall.”

“Did the turkey run with my kids, was well organized and a lot of fun. Can’t wait to do it again. The place seemed large enough to host other events and had a nice club house if you will, that had bathrooms, food, and a large hall that had a craft show when we went. Large parking lot and easy to get to.”
Address: 716 Millville Rd, Charles Town, WV 25414, USA
“Clean park with a pretty sizable parking lot, port a potty, lots of separate areas with picnic tables for picnics, and a boat ramp for the river. Good spot to put in or get out with tubes. FYI the edge of the boat ramp drops off underwater sooner than you expect it to, and it's a ragged broken concrete edge -- someone in our group got cut pretty deep on it, but if you know to be careful it's not a problem.”

“Great place to chill out and watch the trains cross the bridge over the Potomac River.”
