“Good campground for a long stay and/or workers. Landlord is very nice and accommodating. They do regular drive throughs to patrol and keep and eye on everything. Not a fancy RV park if thats what your looking for, but we would definitely stay here again when we come back to the area. No 4wheelers like previous reviews, they're not permitted in the campground. There'sa trail that runs along the creek that you may hear them pass through but nothing over bearing. Nor did we have any flooding issues in our 4 month stay and we stayed right along the creek.”

“We had a very good experience here at Echo Valley!! The people are beyond nice and very generous. They were always easy to get in touch with and always willing to help with anything we needed. Don’t believe any negative that you hear about these people because it is all wrong. I would recommend this campground to anyone that needs a place to stay! We became close to the owners here and also the owners at the campground next door. We hate to say goodbye to this place but look forward to possibly coming back in the future.”

“A perfect place for our stay! Ernie’s Acres was quiet with a beautiful view. Sites were easy to back into and plenty of room around for kids to play. Our kids loved the swingset. Nice to get away from the hustle and bustle. Owners were very flexible, accommodating and fantastic to work with. If we need a place to stay again in this area we will definitely be back!!”

“Almost Heaven, for sure! Beautiful location, great camp neighbors, wonderful family owners. We are in a travel trailer and are tucked in for the season or longer. Farms all around, blackbirds aplenty, the scenery is absolutely breathtaking, peaceful.”

“I make at least one trip here every summer. Holiday weekends are always jam-packed with a fun crowd of guys. I recommend July 4th and Christmas in July weekends in particular. For a quieter time, plan to go on an off-weekend. Staff has always been friendly and does their best to make every stay enjoyable. I tent and prefer to stay on East Ridge. The grounds are huge and accommodate tent-campers, cabins, and small campers. The owners continually invest in their property to keep things fresh. I’ve never had a bad camping experience here, even when it’s poured rain.”

“Very quiet, beautiful view of the valley/cattle field. The owner was most accommodating for anything needed for our stay. I’d give it 6 stars if available! Hard pipe sewage available/50 amp hook up & good pressure well water. 4 sites available”

“My dad and mom use to work there back in 1993. Good to see it's still going. If I ever get a RV. I might have to take a trip up there.”

“Our main reason for liking this campground is Carol Miller. She has made our stay very pleasant. The site is a very clean gravel pad with 3 hook-ups. When she realized I needed wi-fi, she had it hooked back up immediately to put me back in business. I do want to caution anyone pulling a trailer of significant length..... I only have a 22' and was quite unnerved at some of the twists and turns getting here. The road is in very bad shape coming South out of Bethlehem (470).”

“Good place for trout fishing and renting Pavillion for parties. Paddle boats, boat dock, numerous playgrounds, camp sites, rv parking, large outdoor public pool. A lot of great trails also hiking is beautiful there.”

“Nice quiet place with a small waterfall and a huge rock up the hillside. Everyone is super friendly and easy going. The roads a little rough but it keeps the cars from going fast in and out.”

“What an incredible choice to have our class reunion. Food, music and company were all wonderful!!”

“Great area. Quiet, off he beaten path and cheap. $10 per night and campsites are spaced apart nicely. About 20min down a gravel road that is a little beat up in some places. No problem for trucks or SUVs but cars should be wary, especially after rain. Lake is gorgeous with great fishing and a few decent trails nearby.”

“Excellent place to camp, cheap and beautiful. Quiet, owner extremely friendly, everyone we encountered was kind and helpful! A stretch of yard sales took us straight to the property = heaven on earth. Worth visiting for a quiet weekend away.”

“Love this place! Have taken classes on wild edible plants, tracking, fishing, and had a blast at mountain craft festival. All great people that really know their stuff. I learn a ton every time, always enjoy hanging out at the property, and appreciate that they skip some of the BS that other schools try to use to lend credibility (like quoting Tom brown Jr books or military survival guides at you) By far the best school of its kind in the area, enough so that I keep making the 3 hour trip from Pittsburgh. Hope to take more classes here this year!”

“Out for a car ride we found this campground next to a railroad track and gave it a shot! We weren't there very long before 2 friendly chaps came and asked us to get off the tracks! Yeah, well....my daughter hadn't been ON tracks before! It was fun! Just not long enough. If we pass by there again it's a good campground with a nice layout and plenty of space for the kids to run and play, a playground, an arcade and some entertainment for the grown-ups, too!”

“No one at park to greet us and guide us to a site. Contacted by phone and they gave us instructions.”

“Redneck Yacht club definitely describes this place to the Tee. Plenty of activities regardless of your age or hobbies. They offer mini golf, have 3 pools one of which incorporates a water slide and plenty of water jets and sprinklers. This park is definitely community oriented so as if the actual bar isn't your scene then there is karaoke every Saturday night. The park itself celebrates every holiday. They set off their own fireworks for independence day, have a carnival every year. Trick or treat as well. This is a private club with dues. You must know someone to enter.”

“This place is amazing, if ever I am in bind and need something quick for my RV they are fast to help and make sure I get what I need. I once needed Propane and felt horrible it was raining but the staff was quick to gather my tanks and get them filled with a smile and friendly conversation. I highly recommend this place to everyone.”

“Arrived here about one in the morning after hiking the eleven miles from Route 7 around Thanksgiving a few years ago. Luckily there was no one else staying there at the time, so we didn't wake anyone up. The shelter was set up really nice and offered a great place to spend the night.”

“Reading all the previous posts and spending just last night at this campground, I feel the need to write about this place. Yes, the train goes right behind the campground but the other side looks like my picture. The train goes every now and then which you can get used to (let's put it this way: it did not wake us up during the night). In return, you get a beautiful, large spot on grass with river access and discount to all the fun activities that River Riders have to offer. The staff are super chilled out and nice.”
Address: 343 Campground Rd, Harpers Ferry, WV 25425, USA
“We enjoyed the campground, even though the season was pretty much over. The location is great if you're going to visit the local sites, and the grounds themselves are well kept. Only problem was that the sites don't drain all that well and there are puddles in the rain.”
