Prevailing Winds Lodge

Such a magical place! We hosted my parent's 50th anniversary celebration here with family and couldn't have chosen a more perfect spot. The scenery is breathtaking, the lodge is gorgeous and the memories will last a lifetime. Jen and Steve were a joy to work with. Their communication is exceptional and they responded quickly to every need. We will definitely be returning!

Joined several women for a weekend getaway. PWL was the perfect place for busy moms to unplug and be refreshed. I appreciated the lodge’s spacious setup. There was enough room for the large group to join together and also for small pods to have conversations on their own. In addition, the four upstairs bedrooms complete queen-sized beds, luxurious blankets and comforters gave each woman their own personal space and a peaceful sanctuary making it easy to sleep in.

The beautiful outdoor setting offered a picturesque backdrop to the cozy lodge and also gave us opportunities to explore. We had refreshing hikes and caught some breath-taking sunsets and wildlife.

Overall, our hearts were full when we left on Sunday. At PWL, no amenity is forgotten, so we were able to spend our time pouring into each other and refreshing our souls. Thank you, thank you for sharing this special place with us.

We had a Women’s Retreat Weekend at the PWL and it was everything we had hoped for….. and more! Steve, Jen, and Karo were hostess with the mostest and met every need -and then some! The lodge was the perfect atmosphere and setting… a true sanctuary to relax in and revel in the beauty around us. From an evening sunset, to a winter wonderland the next day, then waking up to a remarkable sunrise stretching across the sky, with a morning dove singing a song, and deer wandering for food right outside the windows, it was a picturesque scene that I thought only existed in movies! The beauty continued to take our breath away while snow was cascading from the sky and falling on the trees….. it was a piece of heaven here on earth! The warm fire place crackling, along with the cozy couch and AMAZING blankets and pillows, made the perfect place to gather, chat, laugh, and cry together. Hearts opened, souls were changed, and we came out of the weekend refreshed and ready to face the world again bigger and stronger! PWL gave us a space to renew ourselves- including giving us a place of wonderful, sound sleep! The beds were like sleeping on a cloud and the blankets were so soft and warm! It was hard to get out of them in the morning because they were so comfy! Steve and Jen (and the PWL crew) are even more beautiful than what their lodge is, where they care so much about YOU as a person also, and not just the stay itself. They welcome you with full hearts, making sure EVERYTHING is taken care of! PWL will FOREVER hold a special, special place in my heart for all that it gave us over the weekend, and I look forward to future stays there as well. If you are wanting a piece of heaven here on earth, PWL is the place! Thank you Steve, Jen, and crew! 🫶🏼❤️🥰

I truly wish I could get married at Prevailing Winds Lodge every weekend! My now husband and I toured it back in October 2019 and immediately fell in love. It was even clear to us back then just how amazing the owners, Jen and Steve, were/are. They pour so much sweat, hard work, and love into the property and it truly shows! We booked both the property and the lodge for the entire weekend (Thursday until Monday) since we wanted the ability to spend more time with our wedding parties and they loved it just as much as we do! Our friends and family are still raving about how beautiful it was and how they appreciated being able to have that time together since it goes so fast. We also hosted the rehearsal dinner at the lodge and it was seriously perfect!

Before the big day there is no way to appreciate just how much Steve & their staff do day-of, but now that we witnessed it firsthand, I can tell you wholeheartedly that they're there for EVERYTHING. Whether it's coordinating vendors' set up and arrivals the day before, talking you down and giving you a confidence boost before you walk down the aisle, passing out waters at 1am, or taking your stuff back to the cabin at 2am from the tent, Steve truly does it all! I don't know what we would've done without him. It's like having 10 built-in day-of coordinators to help you with anything and everything.

Like I said before, booking PWL as our wedding venue was seriously the best decision we made in the entire wedding planning process. If you're reading this review wondering if you should book it or not, PLEASE do yourself a huge favor and book it! You will seriously have the best time and Steve, Jen, and their staff will make sure that your wedding day is your dream come true. We have nothing but love and gratitude for PWL, Steve, Jen, and their staff! We will cherish our memories for the rest of our lives and they all are a HUGE part of that!
