Mandrake Road Church of Christ

My wife and I started looking for a church on the North Side of Madison and decided to visit Mandrake. From the first greeting at the door, we were welcomed in by everyone. After that first visit we decided to come back again, mainly because of the friendly people and their obvious love for God, one another and for singing.
Neither my wife or I had and any church background or knowledge on the Bible, let alone on any of the worship songs. We continued to return week after week because of all the encouragement we received from everyone being more than willing to help us understand the scriptures and answering all the questions we had the best they could.
Next month will be our 8th year at Mandrake and we have both learned much more about the scriptures through the help of everyone here. My song knowledge is still a work in progress. We are grateful to our family here and thank you all for the love and support you've shown us. To all that are looking for a friendly, Bible teaching and believing church, we encourage you to come and visit.

My family and I have gone to Mandrake Road for 4+ years. There are wonderful people there and we have great, open conversations about biblical issues.

I appreciate the freedom to be who you are, and the willingness of people to discuss difficult subjects.

Why not a 5 star? Because no church is perfect.

Forty years ago my wife and I were looking for a good Bible based church, one where the members strived to love Jesus and each other and to show His love to all they met. By God's grace we found the Mandrake Road Church of Christ. Throughout these many years of worshipping with our brethren, with their love and encouragement, we have grown to have a deeper faith in our Lord and Savior. My husband and I have been here for about four months and have been welcomed with open arms into this family. We have had so many opportunities to worship together through food, fellowship, laughter, prayer, and lots of fun events. This is a wonderful family striving together to strengthen each other so that they can help others in their daily lives. I am truly blessed to call those at Mandrake my family.

Our family has been worshiping here for 14 years. We moved here from Nebraska and found a community of people striving to follow Jesus and his teachings. We were immediately made to feel welcome, and were soon involved in the life of the congregation. If you want Bible teaching and want to be part of a community, this is the place for you!
