My fiancé and I tried La Oaxaquena tonight for the first time; immediately after our first bites we looked at each other and said “Our new go-to”. The owners are absolutely wonderful and personable, we adore them both! The food can’t get any more authentic; so naturally, it is absolutely amazing! The best Barbacoa and Carnita tortas we’ve ever had. AND the best lengua tacos we’ve ever had! We can’t wait to return to try more food and visit with the owners some more. We have official plans to be regulars for both the food and the awesome grocery options for when we cook at home!
Good food and fun place to go. Doing a great business at a reasonable price and decent service, with helpful people when needed.
Pleasant experience and really nice place to go.
Once a week, I call around 11:45am to order 2 quesadilla (which is way more then I can eat by myself already) then I order myself 4 tacos. Of course, both these items are made with your choice of meats and toppings. I personally enjoy steak and cheese. When I hear the boss scream "time for lunch", I do a happy jump as I click my heels dropping all my tools and sprinting full speed out of the workshop into the truck and speeding down main street. At a beautiful 26mph in a 25mph zone. Hoping the one stoplight in our lovely town is green, so I do not have to wait any longer, for my delicious meal. I jump out of my truck as soon as I pull up and yank the door open as I come to a screeching halt and there it is sitting right there on the front counter at 12:05pm is my beautifully authentic Mexican made lunch. The smells are overpowering as I whip out my wallet, and the wonderful and kind cashier's tell me my price is around $25. I whip out $40 and tell them to keep the change. Mostly because I don't want to waste the time getting back home ( also they are well worth $40 ). I love the smiles the energy and the beautifully made food with great service. This place is well worth a visit. I ensure you will not be disappointed. They're also a small grocery store no matter what you are looking for, they seem to always have whatever you need. 5 stars for sure!
Love the owner and her family. She has the most amazing flavored rice in her burritos, a family recipe. Chicken burritos with added avacado is my absolute favorite.
I have ordered cooked-to-order tacos that they offer often (I've always gone during the day on weekends). They are genuine Mexican tacos and they are amazing. Beats any of the food you can find in the area and is a very good price for quality I'd expect from a high-end Mexican restaurant. Recipes straight from Mexico that will have you back for more. I love the spicy red sauce that comes with, and you will too if you love extreme spice. Have something to drink near by because this sauce is not your white-girl's hot sauce.
