Nitty Gritty-Sun Prairie

Went to the Gritty twice recently, and the food was very good, and the patio is nice and relaxing. Service was very good the first time, because our waitress was training a new waitress, so she was very attentive to her tables and checked on us several times.
The second visit with a different waitress. She didn't pay as much attention to her tables as she could. If you're walking by you should ask if anything is needed, even if it seems apparent nothing is probably needed at the moment. Still overall a 4 and a good experience for service. Many places servers are much worse.

Anna was an excellent server, especially since we were out on the patio on a hot day. The patio is dog friendly and perfect for a short stop on a long road trip. Fish and onion rings are fantastic.

Fish tacos were very good as were the chips and salsa served with them. Sat outside and the area was nice and clean. A very pleasant atmosphere. The waiter was not very attentive. Was hard to find if you needed to ask for something as water refill or additional salsa for the chips. Not sure if he was waiting on those seated outside and those seated inside. They are noted for their burgers but I would highly recommend the fish tacos.
