Stunning, seasonal wedding flowers
Sunborn Gardens did a fantastic job curating a colorful and seasonal selection for our 4th of July weekend wedding flowers. Our theme was iconic 1940 vintage and key colors were white, black and gold; we wanted an array colors to mimic fireworks. Lily (?) did a wonderful job listening to any particularly flowers we did or didn’t want, and the size of bouquets and boutonnières we wanted. She also created a mood board as a guide for how our flowers would come to life, which was very helpful in narrowing down what we wanted.

The day of the staff went above and beyond providing extra pea blossoms to help give a stronger green accent on tables throughout the reception and also working two small framed photos into the bride’s bouquet that were used at her sister’s wedding 14 years ago. We’d highly recommend Sunborn to anyone looking for spectacular flowers for a wedding or event!

Sunborn Gardens exceeded our expectations for our wedding flowers and nailed the look and color palette we were going for. We selected their a la carte option and had their team create the bouquets, boutineers, corsages, and arch pieces while we DIY’ed bud vases for the reception tables using buckets of blooms from Sunborn. The buckets of blooms included a wide variety of focal flowers, filler flowers, and greenery and were very fresh and easy to work with. When we arrived at the venue and saw the arch flowers and bouquets, our jaws dropped at how beautiful everything was! The flowers were so vibrant and colorful, and the bridal bouquet even included dahlias which is the bride’s favorite flower. Sunborns’ dahlias were not quite blooming when our wedding happened, but Lisa managed to secure some from another farm and we were so impressed with this! We hired Sunborn because we love locally grown flowers and we can’t thank Lisa and her team enough for the beautiful work they produced!

Lisa has been fantastic - even though we haven't actually had our wedding yet! My fiance and I were supposed to get married this past April. When stay-at-home orders came into play in March, we reached out to Lisa, who immediately confirmed she would change our date at no charge. Now, our backup date is also falling through, and she's agreed to change the date again.

She's been fantastic and responsive through our planning, and we are so grateful for her willingness to work with us through the unexpected. She also was able to give the two of us a LOT of guidance on flowers, as we weren't sure what we were looking for! We'll of course update/write another review post-wedding, but in the meantime, Sunborn has been wonderful to work with, and I'd highly recommend them based on our experience so far.

UPDATE: We finally (!) managed to get married in September, and I had so many people tell me they'd never seen flowers so beautiful. I could not have asked for anything more perfect - I loved them so much I actually decided post-wedding to have my bouquet preserved. I cannot recommend Sunborn Gardens and Lisa enough. Thank you so much!

I had the privilege of working for Sunborn years ago, where I got to know Hans and Lisa on a personal level. They are incredible people who pour their hearts into what they do. I knew when I was getting married they were the only option for flowers, because of the passion they bring to their business. From growing their blooms, to refined design, along with excellent client relations, they are the top florists to choose from. The execution of the design we discussed was more than I could have ever imagined. The flowers were the standout for our wedding. I look forward to visiting them at the Farmers Market for years to come to keep the memories alive for our wedding, and to appreciate the beauty Hans and Lisa bring to the world. Forever grateful for these talented and generous humans.

Lisa was absolutely incredible to work with. After one call she knew exactly what needed to be done to make our flower dreams come true. It was important to us that all our flowers were sourced locally and because of her amazing farm she was able to make that happen.
