New Glarus Woods State Park

Winter walk.. noisy road on one trail which will be better with leaf canopy. Nice playground at parking area

Great woods and park next to New Glarus Brewing Co. Lacking signs, maps, general info and staff, but it’s quite a large area with a good amount of small trails and PLENTY of picnic or play areas

Each fork in the path is well marked so it's easy to understand where you are. There are plenty of different trails, so each visit can be a new experience and you can make it as easy or challenging as you want. Also it's dog friendly and my Buddy loves it here too!

Primitive camping. No shower. Only pit bathroom. Family and group camp sites as well as walk in camp sites. Bike trail goes to downtown New Glarus, which is about 3 miles.
Very nicely maintained campground surrounded by trees. There is some highway noise as it is next to the highway, but not enough to cause problems with sleeping.
