Forest Beach Migratory Preserve

The Milwaukee lights are still present in the southern horizon, however, the large parking lot and isolated location offers astronomy lovers and telescope user a very open field of view in all directions and a stable base for mounts. Not many cars cars venture past this point in the midnight hours.. and during moonless skies galaxies and nebulas can be viewed. ** No bathrooms or trash containers!!!

i like the rustic vibe, and the fact pets aren't allowed.

A bit disappointed that pets are no longer allowed here. Makes sense to protect wildlife, but they used to be allowed so it was unexpected when I tried taking my dog for a walk there today. However, it's a beautiful place and I would recommend for a nature walk.
