The adjuster told us the car was in an accident.
Seems the buyer found an insurance card we left behind in the car and gave it to the police officer.
We told the adjuster we sold the car.

They checked the claims adjusters notes and helped us through the process.
In the end the claim was denied and we didn't have to do anything else.
