Another review mentioned this being the little brother to Devils Lake but I feel like Mirror Lake is in its own league. Come here if you want a peaceful, quiet experience in nature. Less people, noise, tourists, gimmicks, etc. Come here to escape and get some tranquility. By its very nature, the amount of people are limited. Camping spots are few, but the grounds are large. Facilities are nice.
This is a great campground to pick if you want to visit the Dells area. It’s just outside of town, most places are only a 20 minute drive away.
There were great hiking trails, there were so many to explore. My group took the Ishnala trail specifically and were pleased when it looked around back by our campsite.
The loop we stayed in had a pit toilet and was not a far walk from the large bathroom and shower house. It was nice to have individual locked stalls, but the water usually didn’t stay on longer than 15 seconds and it was uncomfortably hot.
The campground has a nice swimming beach with restrooms on site and a rental office.
Overall, I would stay at this campground again. There is a lot to explore at the park alone and a rainy day doesn’t deter from staying in the park instead of a hotel.
Really fine example of what Wisconsin SP have to offer. Reserve a camp site if that is your thing, or just drop in for a day visit. I have never seen this place busy. Great lake area where you can chill, bring a picnic or sit with kids at the play equipment. Tons of mature trees for loads of shade. Overlooking all of that is a palatial pavilion, which can be reserved, but is usually available on weekdays first come first served. Hiking trails ring the lake.
This park could be considered the quieter, less crowded version to Devil's Lake State Park. We loved everything about it here! From the very shaded and flat (very important when tent camping) areas to camp, to the beautiful beach and wading level lake to the canoe and kayak rental. Everyone was friendly, including the park ranger and on site staff. Firewood was easily accessible at multiple points in the park. My only grip... and this is small... is that the garbage area was a mess... literally garbage everywhere... not the parks fault in reality but when you have a lot of campers and only one garbage drop off area and not enough bins... that exception aside... We will be staying here again! Loved it!
A very nice park to visit. Haven't camped here yet but absolutely looking forward to in the near future. Boat rentals are easy and they provide everything you need for a few hours on the lake. The trails are well groomed and very scenic. There are designated bike trails and designated hiking trails. Which is nice for both parties. To enter the park, you will need a state sticker or pay a fee. Don't miss it.

29 reviews of Mirror Lake State Park "Camped at Mirror Lake State Park over 4th of the July weekend and it was great! Perfect place to stay when heading to the Wisconsin Dells...it was literally 5 minutes away! Plenty of parking very close to the campsites (didn't have to haul the gear very far at all). The entire campground was very quiet, even on a busy weekend like the 4th, sites were far ...
