“Celebrated 20th Anniversary in Log Cabin Sweet with Honeymoon Package upgrade during Sub-Zero, snow covered winter weekend. It was exactly what we were looking for and close to home. Well worth it!!! Nothing like this place in SE WI! We both loved it very much! Thank you for everything you do!”

“Super clean place! Very well kept and seemed to be newly updated. No stinky smells or mold anywhere that I saw. Comfy beds. By far one of the cleanest "budget" hotels I have been to.”

“I had such a great time at the Abbey even in the winter time”
Address: 269 Fontana Blvd, Fontana-On-Geneva Lake, WI 53125, USA
“I have visited the Abbey in the past. On previous visits there were not as many rambunctious children or drunk adults. Although this doesn't affect my rating, I feel it must be mentioned in the fact that if they are going to be hosting multiple marriage retreats, maybe it's best they don't host family reunions or birthday events in the same or very close proximity. And if it can't be avoided, perhaps separate the families from the couples that are looking for a quiet weekend get away. The halls and rooms work quite noisy both nights we stayed. Every single employee greeted us with a smile and some warm gesture of sincerity. Their customer service is top notch. We were very pleased with the bonfire, and other activities that were included with our stay. We, however, will probably not consider staying on the weekend with our children in the future because most children's activities or events only take place during the week day. We dined at both the Waterfront Restaurant and 240 West. You can find our review under their businesses as well.”

“Wonderful place for a long weekend getaway. Just spent 3 nights here with my family of 12, many fun activities and unique spots to relax for all of us. The owners have really done a great job in keeping the place authentic, yet comfortable. Enjoy!”

“Breakfast and hospitality was awesome. House is cool with a lot of old Victorian charm. We stayed in the Dickens room. A little on the small side. Room got really warm during the night despite the windows being open. I would recommend the Lousia May Alcott room. Nice small town with a wonderful restaurant called Ivan's within walking distance.”

“Outstanding Festival. This is one of my favorite fairs to attend. Walworth surely knows how to keep traditions going. I have been coming here for 15 years and each time I find something new that I love. They have been bringing in large names each year to play at the festival. The demolition derby is enjoyable for all ages(ear protection recommended) and the Methodit Church has a stand here that serves delightful food for a decent price. Search around and find the cream puffs stand. Make sure to also try the new concoction they decide to deep fry each year. When that catches up with you, make sure use one of the many different washrooms that have personal maintanance on site. Visit the live animals being judged. The tractors are neat to check out. Not to mention they have a carnival onsite. Good luck getting it all done in one weekend. Hope you enjoy as much as I did!”

“A wonderful old-timey family -run resorts. The cabins are basic but it feels real, like summer camp in a good way. There is a private swimming beach and you can take their rowboats out without cost. Each cabin gets a table and some chairs so you can sit near the lake with your guests. It is in William's Bay, WI on Lake Geneva. There is a beautiful public lake path where you can walk around the entire lake. But they don't rent their cabins weekly anymore; only for the entire summer.”

“$30 a night! Elkhorn Campgrounds has just been opened to the public for camping from April 20 to Oct 30. In the past it was only open for an annual fair and for large RV clubs or camping groups that wanted the entire facility. Things have changed. You can make reservations online on their website. It doesn't have a pool or putt putt course, but it has what most people want and it's a heck of a lot cheaper than most higher amenity parks. We paid $30 a night and included electric and water hook up. Dump stations on property. The wooded area has 167 sites and the open areas have another 350 or so. It's clean and quiet. It's on a fairgrounds but you would never know it. Quaint feeling.”

“I really like this place in the summer. I have yet to eat there in the winter, that said, the food and view are some of the best in LG. Thursday evenings are reduced wine night and I think that you need to be a member in order to dine here so I would check that out in advance.”
