(February 28, 2019, 8:12 am)I had a massage scheduled last night with Ann Kraus Sturdevant at Epic MedSpa. Some background first. For the last 10 days I've had this horrible pain/ache that I have not been able to get out of my back on the right side. I've tried just about everything!! I even had a 90 min massage last with Ann, and it helped quite a bit till I sat at my desk at work the next morning. Then bam... the pain came right back. Repeat this process everyday (except massage) since last week Thursday.
Fast forward to last night's scheduled massage. Ann and I had been texted back and forth for the last week on my back pain progress. Yesterday I spewed out all the stuff I dislike about my job during the day. I got there last night and talked more about my job. We started the massage and she decided to address a different concern instead of just trying to pound the muscles into submission.
Ann decided to work the muscles gently in my chest/tummy... the solar plexus chakra. As she massaged different parts, I could feel the pain in my back come and go. It was an amazing experience!!!! I swear she is a magical healer!!!! I've NEVER had a massage therapist do this before.
As she continued, she said to release whatever emotions were trapped. I couldn't figure it out at first. But as she talked me thru it, I began crying like a little kid. I realized the trapped emotions were fear, vulnerability, not being heard, and more. All these emotions are what I felt every day when I was a kid and throughout my whole life. It was awesome to let it all out in a safe space. I realized this morning that I was linking these physical feelings to my emotions and connecting from past to present.
It was amazing to have someone physically guide me to where I need to be!!! I can't say enough of how wonderful Ann is! She truly is gifted with a magical touch and I can't thank her enough!!! Thank you Ann! ????????????
(December 2, 2016, 9:02 am)Every service I've had at Epic has been exceptional. ive had both the metabolic rate testing & body composition testing which could be awkward but definitely were not thanks to the awesome people who work there! I've also spent many hours in the infrared sauna to help aid recovery and wouldn't hesitate to recommend any services offered to friends. They also have great monthly specials with discounts.
(October 15, 2014, 5:22 pm)I have been going to epic for almost 5 years for multiple services such as chemical peels, eyebrows, airbrush tanning, Vitamin B shots, and facials for my teen. I have recommended her to all of my friends and family as well as people I work with because everything there is done right from the quality of the services I have received to the expert advice and knowledge of the staff. They are AWESOME!
