“Great place to be year round, but this review must be prefaced by the fact that its $5 to park per vehicle. They take cash and credit. This park is huge, with flat fields for sports, woods and trails for hiking and running, sites for both camping and picnics. There is plenty of parking regardless of the activity. Throughout the year many events are hosted here, including road races in the winter. There are both primitive and modern facilities for restrooms and drinking water throughout the park. It's great to have a park like this so close to home.”

Waukesha Community Garden

Address: Waukesha, WI 53188, USA

Park

“A great community resource! I had my soul crushed after moving from out of state and discovering the South facing apartment balcony did not get enough sun on my plants, but some quick thinking and a phone call later and the very helpful staff from the UW extension office had my papers ready to go. This year, it was $50 for a 200 sq ft plot of land. So far, they seem really friendly and laid back. Having gotten into the garden late, there was quite a bit of work to do prepping my bed for my giant tomatoes and peppers. Had I gotten in at a sane time of year, this could have been avoided since they plow the garden every spring. My fellow Gardener's have been both friendly and helpful with suggestions on where to go for different materials such as straw mulch. I plan to be back at it next year though.”

Kettle Moraine State Forest - Lapham Peak Unit

Address: W329 N846, County Rd C, Delafield, WI 53018, USA

Park

“Just went on the 2019 Fright Hike! It was a ton of fun BUT it could have been so much better if they extend the time it ran quite a bit. They have 2,000 people come through in just over 2 hours so there are major back ups on the trail. Because of this, the actors can easily be seen jumping out at someone up ahead so you already know where they are. They also don't have time to hide or set up their scene again so there's just a bunch of people walking around. They should extend it from 6-8:30 to 6-10 instead, to allow for much smaller groups, lessening the huge back ups thus making it a more fun/scary experience.”
