“The judge while keeping the laws first and foremost, was very thorough, patient, fair, and understanding. Prior to proceedings he shared a quote from George Washington with regard to the law. The entire staff was very helpful, just be honest and don’t make excuses. Hopefully I never have to go to court again, but if I do nothing will top the experience and expertise of the Rye PD and court system.”

“The roads can be very hazardous with speeds over 45. Take caution if any other factors exist also. The park beside the Correctional facility is good for young walkers & wildlife. I like the area, although its growth is spoiling a nice quality of life where lower taxes, ease of travel & calm environments dominated. Government here is good to work for & in. A 2 car accident held up RT. 5 coming into Hopewell. It was speed, wind & focus related. Situational awareness helps. Hopewell only needs to offer some incentive so commercial & industrial will simply paint their buildings every 6 years. Humble colors that blend with nature will add appeal & customer retention. Parks help out here, but could use the Eagle Scouts to create safe walking trails. It is an area with a large prison/correctional facility. The new park adjacent to Corrections is nice, but the walking wouldn't do for elderly, small kids or bad knees.”

“I'll try to be as fair as possible. I had to assist an elderly relative navigate the legal system. I agree, if you break the law, you need to face consequences. I placed several calls to the municipal court to clarify several things. Ivan was very helpful, but Cynthia was outstanding. The pre-trial went smoothly and fairly. No complaints there. The only suggestion I have is that the municipal court provide a secure way to submit sensitive documents (ID) online. Due to COVID, court is being done online through Zoom. Defendants are being asked to email a copy of their ID. Email is not secure and opens the door for personal information theft. I have never used Zoom before. I logged in 15 minutes early and I'm glad I did. I had to scramble because I had to download an app to my computer to be able to access the online meeting. I had to refresh and then test microphone and speakers; finished just in time for court.”

Judge Kuhn and Shelly Booth (probation officer) from start to my finish, they were fair, and kind to me! I was very ashamed of myself for my horrible mistake but I moved forward from it And thanks again to them for not judging me and again treating me with kindness! Everyone at the courthouse was always pleasant. They made a bad time in my life bearable!! Great people!”
