“Awful! My parents were to be buried June 30th and our family could only attend if we purchased a grave side service..so we did. We were told their would be a canopy and chairs set up. We scheduled for 2pm but when we arrived nothing was set up. My mothers engraved urn tag was missing. We were not allowed to place urns in ground as planned. Many family/relatives had brought fresh blooms for everyone to place on top urns…that was not allowed. Instead blooms were placed into white vault tubs. When things were finally set up we were given a small tent covering and they placed the wrong flower spray and had to go find the correct spray. If we had known urns could not be placed into ground I think we would have requested use of chapel vs grave side…chapel would have been cooler, easier for elders and more than half the cost. I spoke to Kathy whom said she was sorry we were not given all the facts. So very sad. J Follow up to previous post…owners reached out and were very compassionate and wanted to make things right. We are very impressed with their dedication! J”

This Saturday, she was beyond great. Who ever did Our family member makeup and hair, did a horrible job. I would’ve given 3 star but my heart couldn’t. She offer to fix the makeup without no hesitation she did it. She offer to fix the hair but the makeup adjust was just perfect at the moment. Franchy is a true definition of a great customer service person ~ super professional, communication on point & best of all a person who has sympathy & empathy. Thank you so much for all your support. “Go here for a funeral for your loved one! Charlie and the staff did an amazing job working with me through this difficult process. The constant graceful communication and patience despite all my questions at all hours of the night and many requests was greatly appreciated. I was worried that I wouldn’t have sufficient photos collages and they went above and beyond even surprising me with custom creations that I will likely frame or use again at an annual memorial celebration. The attention to detail and quality helped to facilitate a beautiful tribute to my father. While the process felt like an intense wedding to plan, Charlie directed the process with grace and tact each step of the way providing me with some comfort and reassurance as I wanted perfection for this final walk down the aisle with my dad. The Cemetary and church were also coordinated by Charlie and he made this easy as there were multiple moving pieces. The morning of I was a little upset because the posters I printed were too large and weren’t laying right but Gareth went to the rescue and was able to trim the edge and posted it so it would be perfect. I loved the photo handout for all guests and the laminated cards and laminated obituary. Even the donation cards were a nice touch. They provided me with an extra glass bowl so I could supply gum for guests and accommodated my every need and question. I loved the program and directions that were provided to the guests. Also, they packaged up everything in a neat bag with a bow. This place is top notch and I’m SO GLAD I put my trust in Charlie and the staff at Vander May! Thank you for a beautiful day to remember my dad!”
