“My husband and I received a menu in our mail about a year ago and saw something about Sicilian Pizzas and never tried that before so we decided to be "adventurous" and order one. First time we got a half sheet for just the two of us, half pepperoni and half sausage,onions and green olives. There was a LOT leftover so now we just get the 1/4 sheet and still manage to get 3 pieces of each side left over for lunch the next day. 🙂 Needless to say, the Sicilian Pizza was a game changer for us! It's thick crusted and hot and fresh when it's delivered every time. We usually only have to wait 45 mins for a delivery.(and that's on a Fri-Sat night too!) We live out of town. Also, you can't beat the price! Better than other pizza places around in my opinion. 10/10. (P.S.* ) Don't forget to tip your drivers! They work hard and gas is not cheap!*👍”

“It’s always funny how the meandering journey leads you exactly where you need to be. While on a day trip to Danville, VA my friend visiting from New York via Dominican Republic wanted to get some food after a great walk. The restaurant we initially planned on visiting happened to be closed on president’s day, so I chose the next top rated, and closest option. Upon walking into the establishment we were directed to seat ourselves and someone would tend to us shortly. We began with appetizers of mozzarella sticks and french fries (prolly about an 6-8 minute wait after ordering). The mozzies and fries were hot and very well seasoned. To my friend’s preference (and I agree to an extent) the fries would have benefitted from being a touch crispier. Nonetheless, they were presented well, tasted great, and were worth their price! When it came to ordering our main dishes, my friend ordered a small Hawaiian I pizza and I ordered a large meat calzone. We were not disappointed. As our host Jennifer mentioned, the dough was indeed excellent. The pizza was flavorful and piping hot. The calzone the same—and a large it was. No cap. It was at least 18” in length and packed with a great balance of cheese and meat, with a good amount of pure, not too oily, perfectly crispy yet moist dough. This was an experience. The experience was definitely amplified by a great waitress, great company, and a fairly quiet time due to the holiday and during-work-hours time that we visited, but without a doubt this was a good time and we ate well. I used delivery and everything was perfect the sandwich was very large I had the Italian with provolone cheese the sandwich was done very nicely it was the 16 in. “So you're in the mood for pizza......well what do you get? There are the fancy places, they use good, sometimes odd, ingredients and they are okay but that's not really what you're craving. You didn't want overdone expensive fancy food, you wanted pizza. There are the dime a dozen franchises, you know what you're getting because they are all the same but that doesn't necessarily mean it's good. You eat it, the ingredients are low quality and you hate yourself for it after. The only good thing you can is that it was cheap and fast but you're not happy with it. That wasn't the pizza you wanted either. Then there are the independent places, most are just greasy slop fests but some are good. Problem is it's different every time, it's whatever the owner decided to buy that week and whoever made it....the good pizza you had from them last week means nothing for the pizza you ordered tonight and some of them have some pretty silly prices because being independent they can charge whatever they want whenever they want. You didn't want to roll the dice you wanted pizza. So what do you do? Does a happy medium between price, good ingredients and quality control even exist? Well....it does and I found it for you, the Papa Romanos in Waterford checks every box! It's a franchise so they have accountability, uniformity and good prices, it's a small company and independently owned so they still care about the ingredients, service and the taste of their food plus it's a normal pizza joint! So when you had that thought in your head of "pizza sounds good tonight", this place is what you were thinking about. I found exactly what you were looking for.......enjoy and you're welcome!”
