“Known mainly as a waypoint for Bluestem Lake's 2nd and 3rd coves, beach and camping area. Thankfully the Bluestem Aerial Spraying Svc moved a weed/tree spraying business in building office and a couple hangers that breathed life into a dying eyesore that fielded 1-5 small prop planes and maybe a helicopter or 2. It's being regularly maintained by City crews and hosts a couple annual events like the Rocket Launches. Additional city-owned land along side the runway could house future businesses coming in especially one catering to the lake aspects being the closet available city property to the lakes public beach and boat ramp as well the private lots, docks and boathouses.”

“My wife and I flew into Claremore Regional on 9/16/2021. Jimmy was super friendly and greeted us with bottles of cold water and a smile. Our Enterprise car was late and he promptly called for us and within a few minutes Jimmy was directing the rental to the ramp so we could unload our luggage from the plane. We departed on 9/20/2021 and Jimmy helped us get fueled and called the rental car company to get our rental car turned in. The fuel prices were reasonable and the service first class. I will definitely plan a stop here on my next flight to the area. Thank you!”

“So much fun. This event is a "can't miss" in my book. I never thought much about cows but when you have an opportunity to see them up close they are very beautiful animals and have pretty faces and generally have very sweet temperments. The bull in the picture is a swiss breed. I didn't get a shot of the cows but they really were so sweet and gentle. Horses are also very beautiful but the very first one I got close to took a little playful nip at my leg. It was funny. You will also have a chance to see goats with their kids, geese, ducks and bantams. There were not pigs there. They had rabbits but I didnt check them out. You WILL HAVE FUN at the demolition derby. Also the amusement rides are free with admission. The fair food is great and not overpriced ie corn dogs and cotton candy for $6. There are also a few vendors who provide very good quality dinners. I had meatloaf mashed potatoes and gravy after the derby and it was just what I wanted. Go. You will have a blast.”

“The airport is pretty standard. Be prepared for long lines for red eye flights. Be prepared for long lines at Chick-fil-A, there is a Starbucks here too. McDonald’s was recently replaced with Burger King. The shops here close early as in 6:30pm on a Saturday.”
