“This is my favorite bike shop. I’ve always liked it, thought the people are really warm, helpful, and extremely bike-smart, and been grateful for its save-my-butt location right along the 9W bike pilgrimage. But this morning, Henry, the owner, topped it. I’d gotten out on a morning ride on not enough sleep, no tools, no wallet, and then flipped gears a little too quickly on an uphill. My improperly-adjusted derailleur caused me to have a bad chain jam. The wheel wouldn’t even turn, so I faced a long walk home carrying my bike, and none of the bike shops were open yet. To my incredible good fortune, Henry was dropping by the shop on an errand and saw me stranded. He stopped and not only got my chain free but also adjust my derailleur so it wouldn’t happen again. And because the shop wasn’t open yet he didn’t charge me anything. He said he happened to see me and couldn’t leave me stranded. Thank you Henry! You and your shop are the very best.”

“I came in to look at bikes a couple weeks ago, I had great customer service and the sales staff were very knowledgeable of their products, a few days after my purchase I realized the bike was not a fit for me, I was very upset because it was an awesome bike just to big for me, I called hoping for the possibility I can trade it for something else, lucky for me they were able to help me out and a week later I took the bike in, Even tho it was an exchange, they treated me like a first time customer and were very happy to help me find something else, Once I found what worked for me they let me test ride it which was very helpful and were not pushy at all, they gave me the time I needed and never made me feel rushed (especially since it was near closing time). Even tho I was still a little iffy I decided to make my purchase and said “I’ll make work”. After I mentioned my concerns to one of the gentleman he suggested a few changes which he said he can happily do them for me. I was not expecting him to go above and beyond for us and that right there is why I am taking the time to write this review. I really wish I asked for the gentleman’s name to give him a shoutout because the changes he did for me were tremendously helpful for my everyday day use bike. Thank you guys for great customer service. It really means a lot.”

“I ordered a set of ski bindings; I was told they would ship within a week. A month passed, no word. I tried calling multiple times, they hung up on me after 20 minutes on hold each time. I emailed, no response for literally 3 months. And that response was to inform me that the bindings were out of stock. Mostly frustrated with the lack of communication here- I always understand if it takes longer to ship, it’s just nice to know the status of the order. Edit: change from one star to five. I had the above scenario happen to me. After leaving the review, William from The House reached out wondering if he could help in any way. I had previously gotten myself ski bindings elsewhere so I didn’t need anything. However he sent me a VERY generous gift card to redeem at The House. They managed the problem very well and made sure to change my mind about them! Excited to purchase something with the gift card! Thanks again! Edit 2: I ordered Marmot Featherless Hoody Jacket a couple weeks ago. I since received a promotional email about a sale on that jacket (with a lower price). I reached out to William to inquire about any chance of me getting the newer, cheaper price. He VERY promptly got back to me, offering me the lower price. Seriously so unexpected but appreciated. “This is the best electric bike rental shop I've rented from! My mother and I decided last minute today to rent the electric bikes while she is in town visiting and Vicky was so kind and accommodating - she was able to get us both electric bikes for the second half of our day with only an hour notice from us that we wanted to reserve them. When we arrived, Vicky and her tech had everything ready for us (including a map of cool places to go ride and see - and ice cold water to take with us!). We rode through Sundance square then along the river trails and ended up going up to see the cattle drive at the Stock Yards. We had so much fun! These electric bikes are awesome - we have rented and ridden some in a few different cities and these ones were by far the easiest to handle and they had multiple sizes so someone more petite like I am can ride comfortably, which was awesome and hard to normally find (I am 5'2 and sometimes electric bikes at other places are too heavy and the seats don't go low enough for both of my feet to touch the ground when I stop). The bikes had a basket in front that could fit a big bag or backpack - I put my purse in the front basket and it never fell out. The bikes even had a cell phone holder and a bike lock for when we stopped to grab a drink. All around a phenomenal experience! We had so much fun! 5/5 stars!!”

“This is one of the easiest 5 stars I will give. Freewheel Bike, specifically the Richfield location, has been outstanding in their service even during the busiest time of their shop's history. I needed my bike to be re-cabled and tires setup tubeless in a rapid turnaround, and they stayed an hour after close to work on my bike. Even better, they did it with a smile and let me hang around until finished. Tom Lais, one of the shop employees, conversed with me about stories and lessons regarding bikes, adventure, and life.
