“Myself and my wife Susan have always been keen cyclists, however I had a knee replacement late 2016 and she had to have a hip replacement at the start of 2017. After having these ops it has made it a bit harder to get up steep hills in our area, which is why we started thinking about going electric... We have been members of a local cycling group and year after year people are upgrading to electric. One of our friends recommended Electric Bike Conversions Ltd to us and as we only live in Hertford, we thought we'd pop down and have a look. We were welcomed by Sarah and Jamie at reception, who kindly allowed us to try their demo bikes out. As Susan has a step through bike, they gave us the options of converting her bike with a rack battery (positioned behind her saddle) with a 250w front wheel kit. I decided to go for the 250w rear kit with the downtube battery (fitted where my water bottle once was). They even offered the service of fitting the kits for us, at a small cost. We went off for a couple hours to get a bite to eat and when we go back, they were both done! Remarkable service and really friendly and helpful team! Thank you EBC, Harry and Susan”

“Great guys - extremely helpful. I attempted a MTB ride in the area with my friend but the pins inside the cassette hub were playing up and I lost 100% drive to the rear wheel - we popped in to Flat Earth to see if they could help us out with an emergency repair. Although the very specific part needed to be ordered in, they were happy to try and get things working again for me and took off the rear wheel to investigate. The pins seemed stuck - we left and just outside the shop I hopped back on and the pins must have locked back into place again so we were good-to-go for our 2-hour ride! Save the day guys - thank you. Highly recommend.”

“After lots of rugged use on the streets of London, my fold-up really needed some repair from an expert, and I was worried I was going to have to retire it after eight years on the road. Geoff gave me a very reasonable estimate and delivered my bike back in good time and absolutely excellent condition. It has never ridden better. It has seven gears including some I thought would never work again. Now they all do. His nearest competitor in Larkfield wasted my time by holding onto my bike until they produced an estimate 402% higher than at the Bike Site. The amount they quoted was within £100 of the original purchase price. In contrast, I went to the Bike Site, was given an estimate on the spot, found it was accurate, and left extremely happy and with a bicycle that has a new lease of life.”

My 7 year old purchased a Frog bike today (which he is delighted with), but the experience was made that much better due to the knowledge and sound advice these guys were able to give, re:sizing, safety, maintenance etc. The whole experience was 5 star... but when they asked my son to help himself to a free ice cream on the way out and invited him back for a free cycle experience in their beautiful grounds ...this really made his day... well done chaps 1st class!!!!!! In performing full annual services to both my Hardtail and full-suss MTBs, Darren was tenacious in tracking down and fixing a couple of issues that had plagued each bike for the last two seasons, but had eluded a number of other bike shops. He also totally stripped and rebuilt a vintage Peugeot road bike that had seen little love for many years. Going out of his way to restore some parts that I assumed required replacement, the bike I got back was like new. Thoroughly recommended!”
