“My son and I came in on several occasions to purchase a bike good for the city and for trails. We bought the FX-1 in his preferred color-black! Outfitted with special tires, bike lock, tire locks, new helmet, water bottle holder, and pump, he is now ready to jaunt around Chicago. The staff--many who helped us both in the front with sales and the back with service--were all incredibly knowledgeable, patient with my son who is new to biking, and helpful with suggestions on how best to prevent theft in the downtown environment. I bought a Trek 20 years ago for a sprint distance triathalon and remembered the quality of the bikes. Inspired by his lightweight and smooth gears on my son's new FX-1, I pulled out my classic Trek and it's scheduled for a tune up and new tires as well. It still rides great after all these years. Could not recommend the product or this store and it's staff any higher. Thank you! (We may be back soon to upgrade! lol)”

They asked several questions about my tire pressure preference before topping off both my tires. Super friendly and knowledgable. “Our group of six called to check availability, and the very friendly employee quickly set us up on e-bikes. When we arrived at the shop, the bikes were ready to go. The bikes themselves were nearly new, in great condition and performed spectacularly! Our group had very little experience on e-bikes, and to say that we were impressed is an understatement. The staff thoroughly explained the controls, gave us directions to the Legacy Trail, and even suggested good spots to stop along the way for a cold beverage. I told him and he showed me the bikes he had in the store. He carries the brand Trek or Electra which Trek makes. Mike was very friendly and informative. He also has a wide variety of accessories to choose from. I’m currently satisfied with my pedal bike and bought a good amount of accessories from him. Degreaser, lube, cleaner, a seat, cell phone holder. I asked about servicing my bike and he was honest about a long time frame. He is solo so anyone interested in employment, I’m sure you can work a deal to help Mike out. I love local businesses and this place needs to stay.”

“It’s been a minute since I got my bike repaired here with Jason the owner but I’m heading there again to get some new things done and wanted to add a glowing review. My bike was pretty thrashed and after two visits to the box stores for repair neither could get it done. Jason took it in and in two days it was literally better than new! The cranks was so tight, brakes and gears worked perfectly. I originally had sticker shock when he gave me the estimate but after getting it back I would have paid double to have my beloved bike back in this mint condition.”

We enjoyed every bit of the trip and had quality time as a family while working out some muscles. Middle Yough is an easy section of the river, if beginners like us can do it, you can do it. Parts of the river were shallow that older kids can stand in, other parts are deeper but definitely less than 6 feet (my estimate). The main store has items with reasonable prices that are handy for a day at the river.”
