“Small and quiet. This library has a small free parking lot with a guard out front. The librarians are nice too! Unfortunately they don't seem to have enough room compared to other libraries which causes most of their used books section to be kept hidden behind closed doors. Service is great! The ambiance is quiet.”

“Excellent public library! One of the best in the Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh system. The space is bright, clean and spacious. The staff is friendly and helpful. My kids also love coming here for the well-designed kids space with seating area and toys for little ones. This location has a huge selection of movies, music and comics! There is a lovely, quiet reading area with a fireplace separate from an equally awesome reading area (equipped with a vending machine) for teens. If the Pleasant Hills Library wasn’t so close to home, we’d definitely make this our primary public library.”

We take our daughter there every month or so to do an activity at the art table Miss Jill sets up in the juvenile area of the library, and to then look for some books to borrow. The library is always very clean and staff are very respectful and helpful. They have loads of programming at this branch for all ages. I have taken my daughter to the preschool age storytime, and Miss Jill kept it interactive and fun! We are so lucky to have this library so close to our home.”

“Fairly large collection of children's books. They also lend youth books, adult books, and a pretty good selection of DVDs. Free wifi inside and outside, and colored prints for 25 cents a page or black & white for 10 cents. The two ladies working there were very friendly and helpful. The computer working there was very slow and tired, but it got the job done. The photos I printed from their printer came our surprisingly clear. Not photo perfect like a photo center but not by much. They are much better than I expected from a printer that isn't specifically designed for photos.”

“A very nice little neighborhood trail behind the library. Really pretty little lake next to it, nice level trail, and some exercise stops along the way. Leads from the library into a neighborhood. Multi used trail. I saw bikers and hikers and dog walkers on my short visit. Just a nice leg stretcher.”

“Spacious library with private study rooms, a large kids section, nice bathrooms and hosts many events as well as local art and displays. The lower level is an event space that is often used for art displays and local community events. There is a large room available on the main floor that is used for community classes. You can often find books for sale in the lobby that have been removed from the library rotation. There are always seasonal activities planned. The staff have always been kind and helpful and I have been going here for 20 years.”

“I've taken students to festivals run by Forum for quite a few years and I find that they have everything covered. Quality adjudicators, decent venues (though I don't love the choral warm-up room at Fullerton is so far from the performance venue) and a good overall experience. Taking students again in March and excited to see what they have planned for us! Good price, doable even for students that are lower-income.”
