“I found this beautiful gem a year ago and am hooked! Everything about this place is magical. The caretakers are awesome! The animals are friendly. The little farm shop is quaint and full of natural, homemade, local products. Their meat and eggs are delicious and it matters to me knowing where the food comes from and how it's raised. The land is beautiful and full of wonderful surprises. Whether you simply want to take a day hike or stay overnight in one of the cabins or with your camping gear, this is a "must visit place" for all nature lovers and outdoorsmen.”

Our 3-year-old had a BLAST and didn’t wanna leave, even though it was only 34° outside today! 🤣❄️👍 I like how all of the play things are spread out and not all tightly clustered together. Really nicely done and creatively layed out playground.”

“Newly renovated, Jake’s Hilltop playground is nicely improved! The new equipment is fun and still challenging for the kids. The shaded swing set is nice, but only two regular swings. Our kids also enjoyed the light up challenge game. It was a missed opportunity for the town to add some shaded benches, though, and no word so far on the promised future splashpad. Still a great improvement to the playground.”

“This is a nice and quiet park tucked inside a neighborhood. There's a lovely little pond in the center where you can often find ducks swimming about. There's a bench where you can sit down and take in the view. There is also a small shelter, baseball field, and a playground for kids. “Bentley Park is truly one of the best sports complexes in the area. My son plays baseball here, and every time we come out, I’m impressed by how well-kept and clean the entire facility is. The fields are in great condition, clearly maintained with care, and the dugouts and spectator areas are always tidy and organized. It’s a great place for both players and families to enjoy the game. The concession stand is a pleasant surprise too—good variety, reasonable prices, and quick service, which makes those long tournament days a lot more enjoyable. Bentley Park is a gem for youth sports in this region. From the fields to the staff to the overall environment, it’s a fantastic place to play ball.”

Vilano beach (just above St Augustine) still our favorite. I didn't like that Beach Patrol drove right past 2 vehiclel parked past designated area. Beyond the posts. Good thing the sea turtles iare not nesting in this area.”

“Google maps won’t take you to the right place. Go on 99. Take a right on Obanion and it’ll dead end to a levee road. That’s the road you need to take. There’s different places you can pull off and fish/walk. I take my dogs on the wetland trail and they have such a good time. It’s a pretty view and never busy.”

“Nice little park in a quiet neighborhood. Newer equipment, nice climbing areas. Basketball court (bring your own ball). Nice prairie restoration area adjacent to a pond that was completely filled with what looked to be wapato plants (I didn't get close enough to be 100% sure). Also, known as "duck potato" and "arrowhead", the plant was a staple of first peoples and commonly sought after by foragers.”
