“Great place to visit. Nice nature walking trails, camping area, picnic area, and large lake. We visited for a "leg stretch" and lunch as we were traveling through. I would recommend.”

McPhee Community Gardens

Address: McPhee Ave, Anchorage, AK 99501, USA

Park

“The gardens are very well maintained and supported by the local Mountain View community. During gardening season the city provides a Porta potty as well as running water. Also, there has been a recent expansion adding more plots for gardening. Finally, there is substantial land still left unused for additional plots to be added in the future.”

Yogi Bear's Jellystone Park

Address: 5300 Fox Crk Rd, Pacific, MO 63069, USA

Campground Park Lodging

“We've come to expect cleanliness, friendly service, and good locations from Jellystone Parks. This park checks those boxes. You will hear the interstate noise day and night but it's not unbearable in a self contained unit. Can't imagine it though in a tent or fold down! There isn't much grass for walking the woofers so be prepared to walk a bit if you have a picky pooch. The sites are close together, but this type of campground is more about a destination and not so much about quiet and relaxing in solitude. The camp store is well stocked with simple items you may forget or suddenly need. The pool looked clean and refreshing. Staff was friendly and a pleasure to chat with. You can get the large campers into the full hookup sites pretty easy. I'm sure it's very busy during prime tourist season. The sunsets are great from the store area looking over the forest valley below! It's a 30 minute drive into downtown St Louis to the arch.”

Coldstream Dog Park

Address: 1850 Pisacano Dr, Lexington, KY 40511, USA

Park

“Massive dog park with a few seats but not much shade. The grass hasn’t been mowed for a couple of weeks. A dog-friendly water fountain was available. Nice people there with their pets and it was very close to our hotel. The greenway trail goes right past the dog park. Parking was easy.”

Bill Mazeroski Field

Address: 100 Warren St, Rayland, OH 43943, USA

“A nice little park to take the kids to play. There are several basketball courts and one small baseball field. There is a nice little area for parties.”

Singh Park

Address: 1500-1698 Amaretto Way, Livingston, CA 95334, USA

Park

“Singh park did not disappoint. While eating a lunch there on a nice sunny day, Mr Jagdish Singh rolled up in his ice cream truck for a little Its-it treat. I can only imagine every experience at this park is similar to mine. Thank you.”

CaP’s Crossing

Address: 9360 River Rd, New Braunfels, TX 78132, USA

Campground Lodging Park

“Been coming here every June for a while now and it's a great place to stay. I've stayed in the cabins which are great. I've pitched a tent there which was great especially having electricity at even site. Stayed with an RV and has full hook up. The owners and staff there are great! Very helpful and welcoming. We get shuttled upstream and arrive back at the camp site within 2 to 3 hours depending on the flow. Or you can start there or keep going from the upstream to lonestar and get shuttled back up. They make sure your safety is first and they confirm your party hasade it back. Definitely got to try them out!”

Cady Park

Address: 51 Maple Ave, Snohomish, WA 98290, USA

Park

“Cady Landing Park, 40 Maple Avenue — Edson Cady, born around 1828, named this place. In the 1950s, the Snohomish Sportsmen Club rigged a rudimentary boat launch for access to the river, improved upon over the years until 2021, when the Pilchuck Julia boat launch was dedicated upstream. It’s a lovely recreation place. The trail was very good”

Papscanee Island Nature Preserve

Address: Staats Island Rd, Castleton-On-Hudson, NY 12033, USA

Park

“A shirt hike into a paradise for birds. The songs of so many birds can be heard loud and clear (when the train isn't flying at 80 mph down the tracks). The shoreline is accessible from the red trail or near the end of the main trail. The shoreline is pretty muddy so bring the right kind of shoes or boots to have the best time ever. I saw a family fishing on the lake while boaters anchored near the shoreline. This is a great escape when you can't go far. Also, as you're driving down the road to the entrance, you get this amazing view of Corning Tower in Albany. It's pretty cool!”

Marsh View Meadows

Address: 300 E Textile Rd, Saline, MI 48176, USA

“A beautiful walk in the woods, nice and quiet with very few people. Had a lovely long sit on the marsh pier watching the ducks and muskrats, and reading a book. Need to remember mosquito repellent next time”

Liberty Park

Address: 716 S Park Ave, Batesville, IN 47006, USA

Park

“Just 5 min off of the interstate, this is a great park. They have some older playground equipment from maybe around the 70s which was fun to see and the kids really enjoyed it. They also have a newer section that was very nice. They have some benches for adults to sit on. There are a lot of picnic tables including a large pavilion! There is a dog park on site as well. I saw many people walking their dogs on leashes. There was a walking path but we didn't check that out so I couldn't say how far it went. The restrooms were very clean! The park sits in a nice area and seemed very safe. I saw two policeman patrol the park while we were there. I highly recommend this park!”

“Nice military campground on JBLM. There are plenty of spacious sites in a shady forest. Sites with hookups can be reserved and dry sites are available on a first come, first served basis. We stayed at a dry site for a weekend, so the shade trees were nice. Fresh water and a dump station were available on site. The only downside to staying on an Air Force base was getting woken up by aircraft on the nearby airfield! Access is limited since it is on a military base.”

The best part is the swimming hole, but watch out for Billie-Bob the fish that lives under the warf. Haha. The second was the tractor wagon ride around the property. It was a BALST. Thank you. We hope to return!!”
