Zoo Park

“This is a great bird watching park. Nobody else was here when I was here. On a Sunday afternoon. The short foot path on the recycled plastic wood surface made for easy walking and would accommodate a wheelchair or scooter so the gimps can enjoy nature, too.”

Parker Mill County Park

Address: 4650 Geddes Rd, Ann Arbor, MI 48105, USA

Park

“This is basically across the street from me and it’s such a wonderful park! Lots of wildlife and fun trails, not to mention the river is beautiful and tranquil. Hidden gem for sure!”

Guadalupe Gardens

Address: San Jose, CA 95110, USA

Park

“Love this park. But be warned that it is often closed when you would think that a park wouldn't be closed. So, try checking the hours before you go. But usually they're just posted on a printout paper sign at the entrance to the park. If, by chance it is open, enjoy!! So many fabulous activities for kiddos. Lots of picnic tables and nice bathrooms, as well as starving squirrels who are super friendly on the verge of aggressive”

Annandale Canyon Park

Address: 1410 Wierfield Dr, Pasadena, CA 91105, USA

Park

“A great short hike and some fresh air in the Pasadena neighborhood.”

Mill Pond Park

Address: Norwalk, CT 06855, USA

Park

“On sunny days in summer this park next to Route 123 is a good choice for picnics or to lose yourself in a book for an hour or two. On the pond’s banks are paths with benches under the cover of tall pines and hardwood trees. The pond is the scene for an annual fishing derby for kids in spring, and in winter becomes the best place to go ice skating in New Canaan when the lights come on. This activity is dependent on the weather of course, and signs on the banks will let you know when the ice is safe.”

Peay Park

Address: 200 Memorial Dr, Goodlettsville, TN 37072, USA

Park

“The splash pad at Peay Park was perfect for the younger kids we took there on Sunday afternoon. The sprayers were all functioning and there was a good mix of types of water experiences offered from buckets, to foundations, to sprayers. We did not visit the bathrooms, so unfortunately no insights to offer there. The only reason I won’t give it 5 stars is the lack of shade available. I was hoping for some more shaded areas for the adults watching the kids. I do see they are building a new picnic pavilion next to the pad, so I hope this alleviates some of the issue. But, a shade cover for all benches or shade trees would be great. The landscaping seems to be a blank canvas and could use some love! We’ve also played at the red colored playground here on a different occasion and enjoyed it. There is a large shaded area for adults (and trees) here. We also like the toddler playground and the firehouse themes. Overall, I’m proud to have this park here in Goodlettsville and can’t wait to see how it is improved over time. Looking forward to the new ADA playground soon.”

Hammondell Campsites And RV Park

Address: 5601 Cypress Gardens Rd, Winter Haven, FL 33884, USA

Rv park Campground Lodging Park

“Absolutely loved our stay at Hammondell Campsites and RV Park. This has been the friendliest, most hospitable site we have been to in forever. Pat, her husband, Wendy and the rest of the staff was such a pleasure to work with. From the moment we arrived they made us feel at home, and even helped us setup our RV. Our RV site included water, electric and sewage hook-ups, and even cable TV. The site was very spacious and well lit, with a beautiful picnic area we really enjoyed. The pool was super nice and clean, and it's open from dawn to dusk. They also have laundry facilities, and activities hall. We fell in love with how safe and light the place felt, the people were all friendly and almost everyone we saw had pets, this was the perfect site for our weekend get-away for our daughter's birthday. Hammondell is about 3 miles from Legoland.”

Port Susan Camping Club Back Gate Ranger Station

Address: 13260 52nd Ave NW, Marysville, WA 98271, USA

Campground Lodging Park

“I have lived here for roughly 5 years. Overall its really good. I almost gave it a 3 because of the rules and the way some rangers act like big government authority almost and they will make you get a permit, then 6 months later tell you that you can't do something that you already got a permit for, which infuriates me like crazy. They need some more common sense instead of acting like the members are criminals at times. That being said its not a bad cost to live here, there are plenty of people that work here that are very kind, and having access to the lake and things like that are great. I could write a novel, but will leave it at that for now. My only advice to the staff is BE KIND, this isn't the united states corporation military, this is our home show some respect. Having said that, I overall recommend it. You guys train your staff better and use some more commons sense and work together more, I would give this a 5. Just be consistent please. Thanks!”

“Natural Bridge & Rockshelter State Natural Area in North Freedom, Wisconsin is popular among hikers and nature lovers. The preserve offers several hiking trails that wind through the forest among spectacular rock formations. Trails range from easy to moderate, making them suitable for hikers of all skill levels. Roseland Resort & Campground

Address: 925 Nolte Ln, Proctor, WV 26055, USA

Campground Park Lodging

“I make at least one trip here every summer. Holiday weekends are always jam-packed with a fun crowd of guys. I recommend July 4th and Christmas in July weekends in particular. For a quieter time, plan to go on an off-weekend. Staff has always been friendly and does their best to make every stay enjoyable. I tent and prefer to stay on East Ridge. The grounds are huge and accommodate tent-campers, cabins, and small campers. The owners continually invest in their property to keep things fresh. I’ve never had a bad camping experience here, even when it’s poured rain.”

César E. Chávez Park

Address: 615 Sierra Dr, Modesto, CA 95351, USA

“I have out here often. It's a friendly neighborhood park. A small problem with the bathrooms always being locked so people go where they can...🙄”

North Perry Park

Address: 4449 Lockwood Rd, Perry, OH 44081, USA

Park

“Really good lived there most of my life and it’s nice and clean and the pool is always at the right temperature.”

Zion Park

Address: 16 Ridgemor Dr, Ann Arbor, MI 48103, USA

Park

“Not sure what part of this is a public or private lawn. It looks like a community garden with a little playground partially fenced that I guess belongs to the Zion church. Several narrow paths connect this are with Eberwhite woods. Playground and garden look well maintained. There's a pavilion nearby, I guess also built and used by the Zion church. No bathrooms or water fountain nearby.”

Cannon Parkway Park

Address: 750 Cannon Pkwy, Roanoke, TX 76262, USA

Park

“0-3 years: YES 4-6 years: YES 7+: They may get bored Play areas separate: Small park seperate from splash pad Fenced off: NO Toilets: YES Splash pad: YES Sand pit: NO Party shaded: NO. Some seating is covered but not park Totally shaded: NO Covered picnic tables: YES Walking trail: YES Extra notes: Small, simple park but really good fun for the younger kids. There are toilets but they're on the other side on the tennis court. I think older kids 8+ could potentially be bored. There are other things for the older kids to do though like volleyball etc”

Arroyo Park Soccer Field

Address: 2000 Shasta Dr, Davis, CA 95616, USA

Park

“The only reason I gave this four stars is that the grass could stand to be trimmed a little more often. It doesn’t get trimmed enough, and when it does get mowed, there is a lot of thatch on top of the grass. Little more maintenance would be wonderful.”

“Excellent city park! TONS of grassy area. Baseball diamond, basketball court, two playsets, covered and uncovered tables, lots of trees for shade. It's a fantastic location with light foot traffic. The restrooms could be maintained better but otherwise 10/10.”

Shoal Creek Park

Address: 2781 Hwy 119, Montevallo, AL 35115, USA

Park

“I am so lucky to have this park so close to home. I love the wide variety of trails. Some are in the woods, some by big rocks, some in grasslands and the best by the creek. There is an area by the shoals perfect for swimming and wading in the summer and a couple of tables by the creek for picnicking. They have a love covered pavilion and restrooms. If you live in the area you must visit and get back to nature in Shoal Creek Park”

“First time to Alaska so we took the time to go site seeing. Bison hall was a good choice. First, it's only an hour from Anchorage. Second, the drive down is beautiful so that 1 hour ride took over 2 hours. Great outdoor facility with animal enclosures. Took a funny photo of a black bear in a dead tree. Gift shop available. Check it out.”
