“Driving from the States into Canada and reading the negative reviews of this campsite, my wife was a little worried. We figured we would check it out and if we had any issues we would cancel and go elsewhere, but, I can honestly tell you that our experience was completely different from some of the negative reviewers. From the moment we got here, we have been treated very nicely. The front office staff is super friendly and welcoming. They have a gentleman that escorts you to your site and, something I've never seen before, he shows you all of the hook ups. As long time RVers we didn't need the explanation, but it is a nice small detail that definitely goes a long way for new RVers. As for the 2 adult clubs across the street, we didn't hear or see anyone outside at night. Our campsite was dry and clean. We are definitely glad that we stayed here.”

“A visit to Dufferin Islands Nature Area is like stepping into a pristine haven of untouched nature. The serenity of this place is truly captivating, offering a rare escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. During the fall season, the sight of the colorful trees in their vibrant autumn hues is simply breathtaking, making it an ideal destination for nature enthusiasts and anyone seeking a peaceful retreat. Dufferin Islands Nature Area is a hidden gem, and I highly recommend it for a tranquil and picturesque outdoor experience.”

“Whirlpool Beach: where even getting lost is part of the adventure! Trust me, you'll want a guide or a really good sense of direction, unless you fancy taking scenic detours that add a laugh-worthy extra 30 minutes to your journey. This trail isn't your grandma's Sunday stroll; it's got more ups and downs than a soap opera storyline. Not recommended for the young, the old, or the high-heeled! Ah, but the thrill of the trail is worth every gasp for air. Steep spots that make you question your life choices are quickly forgotten when you reach the beach. Gorgeous doesn't even begin to describe it. Think of it as nature's VIP lounge, complete with whirls and cool currents for your viewing pleasure. Oh, and it's a fisherman's dream—so quiet you can hear the fish planning their escape. Short on time? No worries! This is a micro-vacation packed into a 30-minutes hike. And if you're counting, it's exactly 198 steps to reach the top. So, you can skip leg day at the gym. The view? Oh, it's like your favorite Instagram filter but better, especially when the sun's out to play. So put on those hiking boots and get ready for a whirlwind of a time at Whirlpool Beach! Just don't forget to catch your breath before tackling those steps on the way back. Trust me, you'll need it!”

“We stayed here for 3 nights with our trailer. Was very nice. Very clean campsite. Had a nice wagon ride. There was a bit of noise as its on Lundys lane but didn't affect our stay as we were able to not get annoyed by it. Our kids enjoyed the playgrounds and lots of room to ride their bikes. Very close to the attractions a quick truck ride and we were at the falls. Will be back again.”

“Very nice trails, beautiful colors in fall, good work for body. the river side has also good spots for fishing, seeing many anglers catching big fish. Strongly recommended.”

“Everyone should hike the trails here at least once, even better in the fall. The lookout fog views in the morning at the upper part were spectacular. The scenery along the way descending to the river was beautiful. The river views were magnificent. The trails are rated moderately challenging, and they definitely are. The Whirlpool trail section was closed due to high water level.”

“Not sure why they call it a park, it's more of an uneven open field with tons of rocks. Not what I thought it would be. That said, it is nice that it's not full of families and screaming kids, it is a nice place to get away. There is an actual park attached to it so families can go there. Lots of nature sounds, forested areas, birds, like a diamond in the rough of the city limits. I read another review that said it's full of ticks, I can imagine at this time of year it would be, it's not maintained. Dress appropriately including hiking boots.”

The entire campsite had tons of activities going on including the big water slide,The swimming pool is perfect for family time and not too deep (max 5 feet), miniature golf, basket ball court, a shuttle to go into Niagara Falls, and bike vehicles that could be for a group of four or individual. They even had a bouncy castle for the small kids. The bathrooms were great and had showers with stalls along with a bathtub. The office is well stocked with camping necessities if you run short of supplies. Also has if fire wood, ice cream and slushy, a gift shop and a Arcade. They also have a rec room with different events for kids and family e.g dances for kids etc.”

“Great place beside the falls to take a walk. Trail leads into a flower garden which is always well maintained during the season. Paid parking is also available here however very limited due to lack of spots. Police station is close by so if you try to park without paying they are usually quick to jump on the opportunity. If you are visiting the falls I definitely recommend taking a stroll in the garden as it is very peaceful and calming. I always visit and park here whenever I visit. Definitely recommend”

“What a nice trail through the forest!! I wish we'd had more time to explore. Farmers have these gun things going off to keep the birds off the grapes. Those booms freaked my dog out, who just wanted to go home. I really look forward to going back there and trying again!!”
