“It's about a 5-minute walk from the south exit of Tachikawa Station in the direction of WINS. This is a Teppanyaki restaurant. There is seating for about 50 people, including tables and a small raised area. It is said that the motif is the fire extinguishers of the Edo period. Even if you're not confident in how to cook monjayaki or okonomiyaki, the staff will teach you. The course includes all-you-can-drink juice only for 1,500 yen, which is a great deal. If you get all-you-can-drink alcohol, you'll be full for just 3,500 yen. On Saturdays and Sundays, we recommend making reservations at this popular restaurant, which fills up from early in the evening.”

“Another Japanese restaurant we would not have found without the Help of a local resident. It is very close to a Popular Japanese Shrine and shopping area in Tokyo that many tourists visit. This restaurant was on the 3rd Floor and Requires the Guest to Cook their own meals. Once again, with the Assistance of a Local Resident, we were Instructed on what to do to prepare our Very Delicious meal!”

“茹だる様な暑さの休日のお昼。 どこも駐車場満員で入れずにいたところ、たまたま駐車場が空いていたので来てみました。 鉄板だから暑いだろうなと思いきや、室内はキンキンに冷やしてあり超快適です。 サラダはドレッシングが濃厚で美味しかったです。 一気に食べてしまい画像無し💦 他にも、わいず天、じゃがチーズ焼き、わいずもんじゃを頂きました。”

“Although this is a far place, everything here and down the dungeon are 100% worth visiting. See the photos and you will know why. Better you have cars and drive there, if not, you will not be able to leave. But for the last resort, the kind ladies in the souvenirs office can help you call Taxi too.”

“This place has excellent monjayaki for a reasonable price and the cooking was done skillfully by our server (blond hair, young man, didn’t get his name). He was extremely polite and attentive, saw us having difficulty with the Japanese menu and heard us speaking English so he brought the English menu over and offered us water without being asked to. We had a marvellous time and was ready to leave a 5-star stellar review until our server for the dessert changed. Young man, black hair in a stripe tee came over to clean the grill before cooking the dessert but we don’t know why he was so grumpy that he threw down the spatulas and left. Shortly after, he came back to cook our dessert but he splashed the ingredients angrily onto the pan that the oil splattered and scalded my mother’s hand. This staff didn’t even apologise and continued his rude behaviour before leaving our table. He didn’t even regulate the temperature of the grill and we were left with a burnt red bean mochi mess. Would’ve taken 2 stars off cause we had a bad experience that ruined the night for us. But we made a complain to the blonde hair staff who provided my mum with an ice bag and offered us a complimentary dessert to replace our burnt mochi. I think your experience will vary depending on who attends to you.”

“Good monjayaki at a decent price. Best to order several kinds in a group. It's important to let the batter cook a bit in the center so it can thicken before mixing everything together”

“Very friendly staff!! I recommend any Monjyaki! Just one thing has to be fixed in this restaurant is taking too much time for next food(30min)if you order okonomiyaki and monjyayaki. -I was at night time so the condition may be changed by time. Anyway generally I'm satisfied with this restaurant :)”

“Very delicious! First time trying monja and it was very yummy despite how it looks. Also great okonomiyaki here. They will cook the dishes for you and kept hot on the grill at your table. Be prepared to queue - there was still a line at 8:30pm on a Tuesday but it wasn’t a long wait”

“He guided me carefully when I thought it was a free tour. After watching the video, he explained in detail how to make sweet potato shochu. If I thought that the jar preparation was a tour through glass, I happened to be able to get in at a good timing by disinfecting and wearing a mask, and I could see the koji room from the outside. At the stall, you could sample and buy limited editions. Recommended for those who like potato shochu.”

“After checking in, you can visit the brewery. On the way, there was a place like a castle tower and it was a superb view. There is also a goldfish pond so you can relax. It is also recommended for those who cannot drink alcohol. There is a shop at the end of the tour course, and there is shochu that can only be purchased here. It was good that the explanation of the store was easy to understand. Personally, I liked the sparkling shochu.”

“The smallest shochu brewery in Iki. A brewery that not only produces fragrant hand-made shochu, but also focuses on sake production. If you come to Iki for sightseeing, why not buy some souvenirs such as shochu "Shigeyagura" and Japanese sake "Yokoyama 50" and "Kokuzo" that are only available in Iki?”

“Decided to try this new cuisine which is like a more liquid and softer okonomiyaki. Staff was helpful in explaining and cooking. However, each person had to order one main each and it got a bit cloy after awhile eating 2 servings of Monja.”

“Saito Hitohira Sensei's home dojo in Iwama, the birthplace of Aikido. Hitohira Sensei is the son of Morihiro Saito Sensei, O'Sensei's longest uchi deshi, and as a child, grew up with O'Sensei. After Morihiro Sensei 's death, Hitohira Sensei broke with Hombu and the Aikikai organization and formed his own organization, with schools now spread around the world. Hitohira Sensei is arguably the best aikidoka in the world. If you have the opportunity to train with him in Iwama or at one his seminars don't miss it!”

“A place to go once at least in your life if you practice the beautiful Aikido, there are several floors with different level and special lesson for only woman, coin locker, shower, about shower I couldn't find with warm water, maybe only cold water? There were many people even in early morning class, had a lot of fun and interesting training, many different nationalities there. The environment is traditional and nice.”
