“This was one of the best of my more recent dining experiences. Came here on a weekday dinner, and it was buzzing with a lovely vibe. The dishes are absolutely divine, with such a nice delicate mix of flavours in every dish, each better than the last. Definitely recommend the Balagan menu, so you get to try a lot of different dishes. And there’s a lot of food! The cocktails are creative with some unusually lovely creations. There is also a good selection of wines by the glass. The service is superb, waiters are friendly and keen to explain the dishes. The restaurant decor is modern, and it’s a nice open space with high ceilings making it a nice vibe. Would return again and again, and can’t wait to do so.”

“101 Gowrie is officially one of my favorite dining experiences to date. The ambiance, staff, menu, drink pairings…they all work in harmony to create a memorable (and delicious!) evening. The tasting menu is beautifully choreographed from start to finish. Some of my favorite bites were the seasonal vegetables, especially the white asparagus which I had never had tried before because it’s not common in the states. Something that is common in the states…dipping fries in soft serve. Which served as the inspiration for the chef’s new potato and vanilla dessert. To transform and elevate such a basic pairing into an elegant, perfectly balanced dessert…wow! It was silky and the fried potato topping added the perfect texture to the dish. If you’re planning a trip to Amsterdam, make a reservation ASAP!”

“The best place for a Brasilian taste here in Amsterdam, Maria is a wonderful person, really talkative, friendly and very approachable. Everything I tasted in her store was delicious! So I can say that she got two fixed customers! Coxinha is divine, those Quiches are very tasty and well balanced, also the chicken pie (Empadão), is the best. The Pão de queijo is very good and very tasty…. No more words to describe… Simply the best! Thank you Maria 😘”

“Nice breakfast experience in Amsterdam with lots of vegan and vegetarian options. However if you are looking for a brunch with bacon and eggs this is not your place. The decoration is super nice and the service quite attentive. Loved the idea of the glass separation between the seats so you could still have a good conversation with your partner while sharing a table. Overall, good experience!”
