“Nice place with plenty of specimen plants. Easy to walk, not large. 2.50 for parking is a bit steep but no entrance fee so I suppose fair. Has a coffee/tea shop with a small selection of sandwiches and cakes.”

“A visit to Kenwood House, at the casual suggestion of a friend, impressed me greatly. The collection of art is stunning, and the house itself is an extremely fine example. The library in particular is very special. You should make sure that one of the volunteer helpers explains the ceiling at work. You need to allow at least half a day for a proper visit. And, make time for The Brew House, it has a well-chosen menu and a good selection of drinks. Highly recommended, do take time for a visit if you can.”

We kind of had a private tour with one elderly gentlemen, one of the volunteers, who toured us around the house and told us incredible details of Darwin’s life. The garden is worth seeing too. We went in autumn and there wasn’t much to do but I guess it would be worth going another time of the year.”
