A decent sized walking/running track a restroom with water fountain an multiple covered awnings/pavilions with picnic tables and grills that can be reserved for birthday parties an ect... Contact the City Hall in Calera for reservation info and availabilities, all in all its a good spot to spend some quality time with family”

“Small park but it has everything you could want, a walking path goes around three tiers of junior soccer fields which can serve as a place for throwing softballs or frisbees. There are two palivions with picnic tables and they are rental spaces, you can use for kids birthday parties for a totally affordable price, just call city hall. And last but not least a lovely play ground for the children, and bathrooms.”

“Veteran’s is my go to place to walk. There is a nice trail around the whole park with beautiful views. It’s also fun to bike! You can bring your dog to the dog park— it’s nice and well kept. The disc golf course is great for beginners. The playgrounds are incredible— they were my favorite as a kid. The baseball fields are great too!”

“Older park with an older playground. Definitely needs to be redone but city is more focused on the newer park and not reinvesting in older things. The ball fields are pretty good condition aside from the lighting. The lights need to be reangled so as to not blind ball players during games”

“Have stayed at the park a number of times. It is convenient as an overnight stay for our trips. Stay have always been friendly and helpful. Online registration and payment is easy. Check-in during COVID was very physically distanced and efficient. Park is clean, sites mostly level and easy to get around. Would stay there again. There are trains that go by from time to time, but did not bother us.”

“The best state park in all of the US! The trails are great, swimming in the lake, the demonstration farm where you can feed and pet animals, and a wonderful campground. I would suggest going in the fall when the weather is nice and the leaves are changing colors. So glad we stopped here on our way across country.”

Set in a quiet area where deer come to graze and plenty of birds gather and fly over. With exceptionally clean bathrooms and a well maintained landscape this is truly a gem worth spending time at.”
