“Beautiful expansive place to hike and explore. Oh the places you could go. Glaciers, snow capped peaks, breathtaking views, unexplored territory, and so much more. This is a truly unique state park. It is so fun to get beyond where most hikers even travel and to see new things. Ever changing, and takes my breath away every time I see something new.”

“Decent state campground with nice picnic tables and fire pits at sites. $20 a night, pit toilets, no hook-ups, good spacing between sites. Next to long paved bike path that runs parallel to train tracks. Has electronic kiosk or traditional envelopes for payment. Road noise was only issue. Able to get 42’ motorhome in site 12 with room on side for tow parking.”

“I absolutely love this trail system. Last year I used it to commute to work everyday, a nice slice of "wilderness" in the middle of a busy city. Tons of moose make the bike a bit more fun. In the spring/summer/fall I use it for biking, in the winter for skiing. A lot of connections with other parks/trail systems. Definitely worth a checkout if you are in the area. Follows a creek the whole way, lots of wildlife, decent privacy if you commute in the am.”

“This park is an older park but offered the children a good spot to play for a while. The big toy is in decent shape. There is however a big jump off the one slide. For really young kids they need to use it with supervision to avoid injurious drops. There are picnic tables for snacking or for a picnic lunch. The park is in a quiet neighborhood so traffic is not a problem.”

“It's an easy drive with a great view of Anchorage! Turn around and you have a fabulous view of flat top mountain! We weren't prepared to hike, but flat top is the most frequently climbed mountain in Alaska. At least that's what is read or heard. Check it out!”

“Great running and cross country ski trails. Not very bike friendly unless you have a fat tire bike because of all the gravel. Make sure to bring bear spray and stay moose aware. A lot of wildlife on the trails. It's easy to get lost and turned around so drop a pin at the entrance to ensure you head back the right way. The trail maps can be a bit confusing because their seems to be more trails than shown on the maps.”

“Lived 5 minutes from here in the early 80s, in the fall ,large numbers of King salmon would be in every deep channel, wasn't a park then and almost never anyone around. Ran into a big old grizzly shuffling up the bank .Spent countless hours catching Dolly Varden ,those were great times”

“The city has continued to improve this park over the past three years by: 1. Adding all new jungle gym structures. 2. Replacing the sod and fencing for both baseball fields 3. Replacing walking path asphalt 4. Adding a dedicated crosswalk for access to the bridge 5. Renovating the club house This park offers many activity areas and hosts daily events during the summer. I highly suggest you visit it.”

“The RC field is only open 8am-3pm Tues/Thurs & Sat/Sun, and above the soccer fields ONLY! This is a small area and the hours are short but it is a step in the right direction from the previous ban on the park for model aircraft use. Here's to hoping we can see extended hours in this are land of the mid night sun!”

“An amazing place in The winter if the weather is good like it was today. It was -2 but when you get moving and blood flowing you don’t notice it. The sites and views are amazing and beautiful, that’s all I can really say. I plan to come back next year in the summer and really see what it’s about. I highly recommend you come and see it!!!”
