Tonto National Monument Visitor Center

Address: 26260 AZ-188, Roosevelt, AZ 85545, USA

Park

“This was a great place to learn of the past people that lived here over 700 years ago! The cave was really cool! But we were not able to go inside as they were closed for the day. The 19 rooms have pretty much collapsed on themselves over the years, but there are pictures inside of the store area. There is also a 20 minute informational film that you can watch upstairs as well. I still recommend this Tonto cave!”

Windy Hill Campground

Address: Unnamed Road, Roosevelt, AZ 85545, USA

Campground Park Lodging

“It was basically a ghost town in June. They had 2 playgrounds, clean showers with warm water and lockable doors. Bathrooms were tidy and stocked, grounds were gorgeous. There’s water spigots around the sites. Tent sites had plenty of vegetation, a fire ring, picnic table, and canopy. We had a fabulous time.”

Vineyard Canyon Picnic Site

“very clean. Trash and bathrooms. This is as day stop only. can walk around and have a picnic. We did before we moved on and did more exploring of the area. You can see the lake, never anyone on it. There were some fishing on the shore.”
