(April 25, 2021, 11:10 am)The Scar is a good, demanding hike. The first 3.7 miles are very moderate mostly on a dirt road. The steep incline up the scar is about .7 miles and very challenging. Not for the beginner. Then descending is both challenging and painful for your knees and hips. Take it slow. The return hike took longer than the hike up. Total round trip is right at 9 miles from Lost Creek. It looks to be a shorter hike if you start by the steps in Verrado. Enjoy! 😀
