“My mother was already living at Sweetwater Adult Care when Kevin took over. We were not sure what to expect because he was so young and running a good home for older people requires a lot of time and empathy and love. My mother and I met Kevin and his mother, Pretty, and we quickly realized that they are absolutely wonderful. They are very caring, compassionate and they really made the house feel like a home. Their interest in every resident was reassuring and as the weeks went by, the house gently settled into a new normal with a lovely new look. My mom liked it there, she was very comfortable and she adored the ladies who helped take care of her. She even enjoyed the food when she was hungry. She had stories to tell me about what she had been up to with a smile. Whenever Pretty came by to visit my mom looked forward to having a chat. My mom left us in February and I miss her dearly. I will always treasure the memories of my time spent with her at Sweetwater Adult Care.”

“I never liked exercise until I came here. Now I'm going to class 5x a week because I feel so good and have so much fun(and kind of feel like I'm dying at the same time). The classes are challenging but I feel so darn good after that it keeps me coming back. The members are welcoming and awesome people. The staff and instructors are amazing. They somehow remember who I am, any struggles I had during the last class and check in with how I'm doing. It's very impressive. I highly recommend this place! I love it!”

Having researched all the schools in the area, I found Rainbow to be far superior. I'm so grateful for all they provided for the two greatest loves of my life - my daughters.”

“When my mom got to the point of requiring an added level of care we began searching for a place that could meet her needs and were fortunate to find Active Care Homes of Scottsdale. The owners, George and Crina Gavrila and all of their staff members truly care about the well being of those entrusted to their care, and this in my opinion, is what sets Active Care homes apart from other care facilities who view care of the elderly as nothing more than a money making endeavor. The three homes owned by Active care are just that, single family homes converted to care facilities for the elderly that have a warm inviting homey feel, as opposed to the cold impersonal antiseptic feeling of other multi-bed facilities where the staff is often under qualified, overworked and short on patience. My mom was cared for by Active Care for almost four years before she passed. We visited frequently and got to know the caregivers on a personal level and also were able to see firsthand how they interacted with those they were charged with caring for. While most of us don't like the thought of having someone else look after our loved ones, it is often an unfortunate reality due to the level of monitoring and advanced care that immediate family is often incapable of providing. Active Care Homes gave us that level of relief and comfort in knowing that our loved one was being well cared for.”
