“The coconut curry was well balanced. Sweetness of the coconut with a little heat. The chicken lettuce wraps had nice crunch along with a good amount of chicken. The edamame was well salted. The Mongolian beef was tender and quite good. I would have liked more green onion and a little more crisp on the steak, but overall pretty good.”

“Today was my first time in the restaurant my wife has had the food before but I’ve never been there and for my first time it was an amazing experience! Even though they were short staffed our food was still prepared in a timely manner it was hot it tasted amazing! I can’t say how good our waiter was he was so amazing he was on top of everything we needed and had our drinks out to us really fast! And the Italian sodas are to die for my gosh we had one of each one and everyone of them were amazing! I love that the restaurant is big enough to accommodate a large party to. “Great service and great food. I started going to this location as soon as they opened in about 2005 or so. Back then they gave really good service and the food was good. They are still giving good service and the food is great. This location has always had good service and no issues. The scorpion pepper burger is good. It was spicy but not as spicy as the voodoo sauce that they used to have.”

“Love this place, best soul food around, I don't mind driving 30 miles up from Raleigh. The all-you-can-eat element gives you the chance to try a little bit of everything which I recommend that you do. The food is great of course, the people are very friendly, the turkey wings, smothered pork chops, and the turnip greens are my favorites but be sure to try the honey bun cake which is exactly what it sounds like. And hey, if you ever wanted to try pigs feet this is the place to do it! Don't let the modest accommodations deter you, everybody knows you don't get the best soul food at a country club!”

It's not like the food stands out as amazing, but it's good, and they have that aforementioned reasonably priced shrimp basket. The parking lot gets a bit hairy by the drive through line, but people have been pretty good about letting cars out.”

“This was my first visit here. I asked for 4 Bavarian filled, powdered donuts (out of a dozen). The owner stopped what he was doing, went to the back, and proceeded to make them for me on the spot. That's A-1 customer service. Star Donuts will see me again the next time the urge for pastries strikes.”
