(February 25, 2020, 12:24 am)The deco is cute, very similar to most froyo places. They also had a few balloons as a nice touch for their grand opening. If you have ever been to Yogurtland or Honeyberry near campus, Menchie's will feel very familiar.
They have lots of flavors and plenty of toppings, pretty standard stuff for good froyo places. I especially liked their waffle bowl, which goes really well with the froyo. You can break off pieces of the waffle and dip it into your froyo like you would with nachos. SO GOOD.
The yogurt itself is pretty good as well but I prefer the yogurt I've had at other places. I tried the fruity flavors like mango, pineapple, and peach and they were a bit too creamy for my taste. I like the tartness of the fruit flavors at other places, but I'm sure there are people who prefer their yogurt creamier. My only problem is that the yogurt is 45 cents an ounce. Not unreasonable, but it's considerably more expensive than Yogurtland and other places I've been to.
Northside Berkeley definitely needed a place like this and I'm definitely going to be a regular customer. Now if only someone could open a boba shop here...
(July 31, 2019, 5:26 pm)My favorite place to go on Wednesdays because they have Waffle cones for free. The flavors are great, and I usually like to go for the fruity flavors so that I can top it off with some of their fresh fruit toppings. I also love to get the popping boba. Sometimes I wish I could go and just get a bowl of the toppings because they're so good and they have a huge variety.

(June 3, 2018, 11:32 pm)Wow wow you can pick flavors and toppings yourself and then they weight and charge you. It tastes good and you can make whatever you want. It tastes great.
