One of the good trail in the Bay Area. It has multiple trails with various degree of hardness. There are trails along the Alameda creek. Scenic all year round. Plenty of parking and picnic area, camping facility. Kids can play in water and a small water fall easily accessible and can get wet. Good place for a family outing. or weekend exercise
Wonderful falls and beautiful clean water. There are also caves that I hope to visit. You can get some really good exercise on the trails, with awesome views. A great experience!
I've been coming here for years, and it's still my favorite spot for hikes. It's especially beautiful in spring after the rain when all the hills and plants are green. Little Yosemite is a nice short walk to go on, there are smaller trails to go on to get near the water, it's really nice. Flag hill is also great for a view of the whole park. Stay away from the cows.
$5 entrance fee for each car is well worth. There are a couple of different hike path within the park. We took the canyon view. The first half was better as the second half was in a wide gravel path. But overall, I suggest to check it at least once if you haven't checked it before. The grass was becoming yellow (I visited in May), so probably it is better to visit before summer.
Supper great outting. Did the Canyon View trail and cycled back via Little Yosemite falls. Lots of water flowing, pretty majestic. Weather couldn't have been better. Good breeze at the higher level and beautiful clear skies.
