This is a part of the Sunol regional wilderness area. You need to walk 1.5 miles to reach this fall. The trail is along the Alameda creek. Scenic all year round. Plenty of parking and picnic area, camping facility. Need to pay for parking. The fall is small very shallow for teens can play and enjoy. The water flows over very large boulders. Lots of shades and places to sit and eat. Usually it is not crowded. I usually can get even a small space and sit in knee deep water with the family and spend time. You can snack. Water is usually warm and runs all year round. Good place for a family outing. or weekend exercise
Part of Sunol Wilderness area. It’s all right, nice for kids and for people who don’t want to hike up too high and can walk long distance. Dog friendly. Much prettier areas if you are willing to explore further (hike up!)
Very nice place to hang out. Kids can have good time.
Such a beautiful spot. About an hour hike from the entrance of Sunol. Lots of big rocks and rushing water to enjoy.
Short driving distance (45 mins) and easy access from any where in South Bay area. Easy hikes for the entire family and the view and water is beautiful. Try boulder hopping and climbing along the water start at the beginning of the trail head all the way to the biggest boulder (Little Yosemite) for something more exciting. Need at least a day to explore and appreciate what this park has to offer. Definitely one of the best
