“The CORE, the new library at California State University, East Bay, is a standout facility. Opened in Fall 2022, it's not just a library but also includes the Student Center for Academic Achievement and the Hub for Entrepreneurship. I was particularly impressed by its extensive collections, including the papers of Presidents Eisenhower and Ulysses S. Grant. Spanning 100,980 square feet, it offers state-of-the-art learning and collaboration spaces. The design is environmentally conscious, supporting the university's sustainability goals. Overall, The CORE is a remarkable addition to the campus, enriching the academic experience for students and faculty alike.”

“Wonderful library! Better than UC libraries for recreational reading. Easy to use. They carry pretty much every book that is somewhat well-known, in my experience. They have a wonderful new books section organized by subject, with some books sitting separately as a highlight if you're feeling indecisive. They list similar titles on their online platform if you look up a book you liked and wanna find something similar. They offer free tickets to museums as far as you're a Berkeley resident. They offer laptops and self-service printing. The staff has always been nice to me, and the interior is pretty with lots of seats.”

“Yesterday I had visited with my Lil guy and this Library had an awesome idea. They made posters of each page of a kids book and in the front of the library was the first page. The posters were seperate along a path with a green arrow leading the the next page with the last page leading back to the front of the library. I thought this an awesome idea so thought I should share 😊 Even more convenient, there's a Brook ale Shopping Center with a Lucky, CVS, O'Riley car parts and etc.”

Address: Oakland California temple grounds, 4766 Lincoln Ave, Oakland, CA 94602, USA
“This was my sister's and my 1st visit to any FamilySearch library. This one is located on the expansive campus of the LDS Temple in Oakland. The grounds of the complex are worth a visit by themselves, with rows of colorful flowers of many varieties, waterfalls, and fantastic views of San Francisco, the bay, and at least two bridges. Despite a lower number of assistants than usual, due to summer vacations and illness, the staff volunteers were extraordinarily helpful from the first inquiry telephone call we made all the way through assisting us in finding most of the sources for which we were searching, along with pointing us in the direction of additional documents we were previously unaware of.”

“The library and community center is a gorgeous part of Florence. Plenty of open space, great material collection, and family friendly. Even the outside is beautiful to see if you take the opportunity to walk around. Close to a large local park, aquatic center, and other recreational spaces. Definitely stop by whether you're visiting or living in the area!”
