“Cute little playground and park. The soccer fields offer a place to practice or play games. However, there is virtually no shade for the fields so wear your sunscreen.”

“Excellent, outdoor/survival hands-on learning experiences. Chickens, goats, horses, archery, pottery, tracking, cooking over a fire, learning about plants and trees, making soaps and salves from scratch. The staff are very knowledgeable in all things science/nature.”

“As a minister who has presided over hundreds of memorials at a variety of memorial parks and mortuaries throughout the Bay Area.... I would have to give Oakmont a five star rating for compassion, service and attentiveness to those in grief. When we lose someone we love, we need to feel our loved one's wishes, beliefs, and legacy will be respected. In reading some of the Yelp reviews, I have to state that Oakmont has learned from their mistakes. They are committed to better service. Skip Dailey and his team of funeral directors.... Phillip, Beatrix, Michael and Tom are genuinely concerned for the care of those who have lost someone they love. While working with them, as a clergyman, there is always a reciprocity of respect, consideration, and cooperation. It is a new day at Oakmont. One in which you will find the directors, staff, clergy and affiliate vendors will be exhibiting a revived level of considerate attention to detail, thoughtfulness and nurturing to those in sorrow.”

“This is the upper end of the path from Moraga Way to the Lafayette Reservoir Rim Trail (aka "Jeep Trail"). The entrance of path is at 601 Moraga Way at intersection of Via Grenada, where there is plenty of street parking. The path is a nice summer/fall entrance to the Rim, with a cool shaded forest. However it is quite muddy in winter/spring so not is as suitable during that season. The path is 0.63 miles long and only steep at the end. There are some trail steps on steep portion, but the path is largely narrow and unpaved. The path is not suitable for bicycles (which are prohibited on this connecting path). The Rim Trail is a fire road and quite wide, with beautiful panoramic views of the reservoir bowl and surrounding landscape. It begins and ends near the dam, with a couple of side entrances like this one around the edges. As the Rim Trail is maintained it is suitable to walk year round. The park is only open during daylight hours.”

“Paid parking but it’s not too expensive. Max 2 hour parking but you can easily walk around the reservoir within 1 1/2 hour. Also has a great picnic area with playground and play structure for the family. Also great place to walk the dog, there’s a water bowl halfway around the reservoir with a little water tap with clean water to drink. Several public restrooms around the reservoir too.”

“Nice place to hike or get a run in. You have your choice of killer hills or gradual hills. The trails are maintained and in pretty good shape. There's some trees for shade, but it goes away when you hit the pastures. Yup. You get to run with cows around you. Don't worry, the ignore you. You mostly just have watch for their patties scattered throughout the trail. Overall I like this park. The only thing keeping it from 5 stars is the lack of decent bathrooms. There's porta potties and outhouses. That's it.”
