“First rate, hands-on science center and astronomy observatory. They have regular events focused on children, both daytime and nighttime. There's two large telescopes for visual observations of the planets and stars, they have free viewings every Friday. There's also a very nice planetarium as well as a theater where you can see movies and shows check the schedule for what's on this week. Food, drinks, bathrooms, gift shop. Sufficient parking nearby. It's a wonderful drive up to the top of the Oakland hills, wonderful views of the night sky. Oakland is lucky to have such an excellent facility.”

“We decided to spend a day off in Los Angeles and came across this unique Italian American Museum close to Olvera Street. I'm glad that we went in met to the docents and were able to take photographs in there. I really enjoyed it I was very unpretentious Alpha love Enough history to get the idea of how the Italian Americans worked and lived and that certain time period. If you have the opportunity to go in there, it is free and know that you will need to climb a couple flights of stairs.”

“The staff are so helpful and friendly. They take wonderful care of their animals. We've been visiting for nearly 20 years and it's awesome to see the evolving exhibits. Happy to be members and would recommend visiting anytime. These two are my favorite, the red trail hawk and bald eagle. So majestic!”

“This is a great place to visit if you want to learn about the natural history of the area surrounding Los Vaqueros reservoir. The staff is super-helpful with young kids and they have updated information about the hiking trails that start from the north end of the lake. Don't head out on the trail without getting the latest info or you may find your destination is off-limits during seasonal closures for mating season.”

“Seeing these vintage automobiles was truly a privilege. The museum is very quiet, clean, and a fun experience. The descriptions for each auto are concise and well written, and give you great insight into the history of automobiles. The other sections of Blackhawk Museum are nice even though they’re not the star of the museum. They also offer student and senior discounts.”
